  • New Monitor

yesterday my dad brought home a 17 inch monitor from work cause a dude he knows had extras. i had always been thinking of buying a bigger monitor but now i have one for free.

i have a dell 15 inch currently. so.. is it safe for me to just turn off the computer, unplug the old one, plug in the new one, and turn back on the computer and im done? or do i have to do something to install the new hardware?

Monitors are plug and play. You will be fine.

Yeah its just a case of unplug and replug.

The only problem you might come accross is if the monitor's default resolution isnt supported by your graphics card and some crazy shit starts flying around.

        But that won't happen.

Just get the latest drivers after you've plugged the monitor.
