Server Monitoring

It's common these days to have active monitoring of a server, site, or service - to detect any issues quickly, and notify the relevant people.

Seeing as we have an IP and port number for TW, it seems like we could use some off the shelf monitoring software to monitor TW.

AND THEN AUTOMATICALLY NOTIFY PRIITK TO MINIMISE DOWNTIME ?

And to keep a record of downtime over time so we can see how crap the TW server is and use that as evidence to support either a new server or someone else getting access.

i was just checking my tracert and i notice that i only have 2 hopone hops and usually theres more before getting to the server.... im wondering if its in fact a hopone issue not the main servers.....
although i would think that if that was the case some of the people might get in unless its one of the last hops before the server

just thought id throw that out there to see what others are seeing
