    Javelins shouldn't have rockets or shrapnel. They should have bouncing ass bullets.

    if javs dont have rockets theyre sitting ducks against spiders in base. Shrapnel is a matter of opinion. Quite disagreement with this

      The worst thing about javs is when they sit on the roof with the ball and are basically levs.

          No other ship has bouncy bullets. Javs are the perfect ship for it. Shrapnel should be for sharks, rockets for levs.

            Side note Is it possible to create a staging version of pub to test out changes? Like a dev server on other games.

                The population's not large enough to be able to meaningfully test ideas, unfortunately. So we just end up trying them live, for better or for worse.


                Bounce on Jav bullets sounds fun for a short period of time, perhaps as a weekend flavor. But as one of the cornerstone ships of the zone, the settings need to be consistent so that there is skill transference.

                    The way spawns currently work in pub need to change. Maybe the entire arena needs a change if the only current solution is to spawn everyone in the mid base and that shitty tube area, where you're inevitably spawn killed over and over. It's not fun, and there's no advantage to killing anyone when they'll just respawn on top of you about .5 seconds after they die. It's ridiculous. The main fun I have in pub is to go for kill streaks on a private freq, but they're always ended by people literally spawning on top of me over and over again. There's no room to move, and you cannot reasonably dodge every random stray when theres 10+ people in mid all trying to out lame the others. I won't even start on how boring it is to have to fight WBs hiding around walls, which limits their ability to learn to actually dodge or play correctly in a more spacious setting, such as literally every other arena (or the bottom of pub, which was regulated out of existence at the insistence of basers).

                    Honestly, I really wonder why pub is set up this way. It was for the basing people, right? That's all well and good, but then why are there kill races and kill streak rewards? Kill races just reward the spawn fest, and kill streaks can only truly be achieved by not actively fighting in mid after x amount of kills to avoid being spawned. It's all counterintuitive and unfun. The entire bottom half of pub is basically non-existent now, which was historically where new WB players learned how to play. Beyond that, the rest of the map outside of mid has no function now, so why even keep the classic pub map? There's literally no point with all the changes ruining any side of pub that didnt directly involve whatever the psuedo version of basing is done there. It's not even real basing, so idk why basers were so insistent on ruining all other aspects of the game in favor of this.

                    Also, why is winning the 'base' round given rewards when one side has multiple sharks and the other does not? All those sharks do is mine the entrance all game long, and so there's absolutely no chance for the other team to get through. Killing the sharks and ramming the mines does nothing, because the respawn rate is like .5 seconds. There's literally never not a bunch of mines all over the flag and the entrance, making it impossible for any side without sharks to win. That should never be rewarded. It ruins any point of there being a base game, so why are these players catered to with mid spawns and such? There is no base game when sharks basically control everything and dying means nothing with such a fast respawn rate, so I dont understand why things are as they are.
