TW World Cup (Warbird, Jav, Base, Spider)

What if we would host every 4 or 6 Months a World Cup for DD, JD , BD and SD?
I would think of teams like
1. CANADA
2. USA
3. EUROPE
4. Rest of the world

Hostable in 4 weekends: - first weekend 1vs2 and 3vs4 play all leagues vs each other.
- second weekend 1vs3 and 2vs4 play all leagues vs each other
- third weekend 1vs4 and 2vs3 play all leagues vs each other
- fourth weekend the Finals vs the 2 best teams and the finals for 3rd place.

So every half year everybody got something to look forward to.

i mean it's a great idea but what i was trying to convey is, BWC sort of fell through because of a lack of interest/activity, and that was when TW wasn't in a population freefall, and it wasn't even a multileague event

now noone's ever tried it with wb/javs/(spids) so maybe there's something there, i predict that finland('s routers) will dominate

We all had this idea a bazillion times and nobody wanted to do it. So yes, it will fail.

yup, this is my concern as well. any player could run a WWC, JWC and BWC, but there is no guarantee that it would work out

i could try to work on something like this after TWDT, but only if the players actually want this to happen. i will try to gauge the interest for these kind of leagues at some point.

I co-ran the original BWC - it was a lot of fun, and not much work to organise - just need some hosts.

Obvs more work with wbs/javs factored in.

Not convinced we have enough population to support this right now. Maybe revisit this once greenlight is done... as that's way higher priority. In the meantime focus on twd.

Ditch the spider league, nobody cares about that shit. Also only host once a year max to keep it interesting. Biggest question for me is who would cap? After all everyone will just add their friends or some other shit.

love the idea of the tw world cup and used to enjoy playing in the BWC, but as others have touched upon we definitely do not have the population to be able to run this successfully at the moment. Maybe one to consider in the future if greenlight actually gets us somewhere.
