hopesfall was at first crazy hardcore, then for a while they were this fucking awesome super melodic hardcore band (no wings to speak of, the satellite years are two great albums), and now i guess they've turned into melodic hard rock or something. No more screaming, but they also lost their wicked drummer and a guitarist. The drumming/guitarwork is a lot worse but they're still pretty good.

If you want to listen to the best of hopesfall, check out the songs "the far pavilions" or "the end of an era." I swear everytime I listen to the far pavilions I shed a tear.

IMHO Switchfoot's album only had a couple of good songs. The others are quite boring.

I only found out about Interpol this year, when Antics was released. I listened to Antics a couple of weeks and started listening to Turn on the bright lights which I found to be a lot better then Antics. Therefore Antics doesn't belong on my top 3 list. Turn on my bright lights would have easily been number one, if it had been released this year.

True Turn On the Bright Lights is better, but compared to the rest of the stuff put out last year Antics very good as well. It's hard to top an album like TOTBL.

They deserved the #1 they had for all those weeks with this, they are one of the greatest bands in punk history, right up there with The Ramones and The Clash

Though I do like Green Day, I believe theres no way they can be the best punk band, times have changed.

How can you choose 3 albums when there are tons of good ones?

Mar de grises - The tatterdemalion express (doom/death metal) really surprised me. When I heard it in my friends place, I had to order it almost immediatly.

Can't name any other albums because few best ones I found '04 were already released '03.
