Well they have the copyright on that shade of purple the same way I'm sure Marlboro has copyright over the Red and white triangle thingy, and coca cola has copyright on that shade of red, and Hersheys for their shade of brown.

apparently they do hold copyright for purple, i heard on the radio that a small chocolate maker was sucessfully sued by cadbury for using purple wrappers on his chocolate bars so he had to change them to brown. i think he was using purple before cadbury too.
