The Taliban was the only thing stopping them from building a pipeline thru Afghanistan. The day after the Taliban were no problem, the deal to build the pipeline was signed.

The USA is in bed with the Saudis and the Egyptians, not exactly the best bed fellows. Iran is heating up and is clearly interested in strong regional influence (if not dominance). Is it not possible that USA went into Afghanistan and Iraq in response to this, putting strategic forces in place to curb Iran? And if this was the case, what would the affect have been if the US had come out and announced that this was the objective?

I agree & then I read our own Govt NSA released documents that say otherwise. Not to say it is a conspiracy, but to say our intelligence agency didn't know...well....I don't buy that either.

As far as the classroom situation....I would have stood up and leftthe building stating that I was needed elsewhere...god forbid a few elementary school kids would have been startled by this!

He's an Idiot

I saw the pilot episode of 'The Lone Gunmen' (based on those 3 geeky guys from the X-Files) TV show, and hey... in that show the plot was to fly an aircraft into the World Trade Center to blow it up to start a war by the government, but our geeky heroes prevented it with seconds to spare... this was about a year before 9/11. I think we should blame Chris Carter, the creator of this TV show for 9/11 instead.

I really think bush is an idiot and i think (ofcourse my view) that he sucks at tackling problems, he uses war as answers for much..But i dont live in the US, So i dont really know what happens/says there.. But my opinion again ) that he makes wrong decisions..like sending more soldiers to iraq afghanistan and so on..But, In his situation..What would you do...mm and i dont think Bush planned(or was in the 9/11 thing) mmm.. yea well..Ima stop..more to come

First off, I apologize to LB for this... I just can't stand misinformation.

No worries- if it has to be some posters talking about it, I'd actually rather them be you and 404 compared to some other geniuses that grace us with their presence.
