Vancouver is blessed with great sushi bars and authentic japanese tapas, so needless to say I go out for Japanese quite often whenever I get the chance to.

My favorite sushi would have to be Hamachi and Unagi

Any roll works for me, although i prefer crunchy ones (tempura shrimp in it, or such). Actually, anything tempure works for me, especially the tempura shrimp.

In handrolls, i'dd say the spicy tuna or california ones.

To be honest, i don't find the quality very good over here, compared to other cities where i tried it (sa, nyc, stockholm).

I stopped eating edemame because i found this store that sells a 1/2 kilo (1 pound) for like 1 euro (4 dollars :P) so i'dd rather eat that at home now as a snack instead of in a restaurant

I love using wasabi though, if it doesn't come out of your nose while eating, it's not spicy enough

I prefer to not use the "US state-named rolls" (e.g. california, alaska).

    -dragon roll
    -anything with eel
    -spicy tuna roll
    -...

In summation, I'll eat any sushi or sashimi except for puffer fish.

not to mention it doesn't last very long after it's made, and its mainly only made in japan. It's very rare to find real fresh wasabi in America

I thought it was at first, but it was an off-white paste, so I was confused.. so I tasted a tiny tiny bit and rubbed it off my chop stick with my finger.. thus my hives on my face (After scratching it lol). I asked if it was wasabi, they said no it was spicy mayonnaise

Fav food. Going tonight to Kamehachi in Chicago. Best place in my hometown is Sono. Avoid the sushi buffet unless you just wanna stuff yourself ... usually quality isn't as good.

it's actually the equivalent of mustard, meant to kill bacteria on the raw meat, not for its taste, although many people are accustomed to it.

It was my first time ever having an allergic reaction to something. It so would've sucked dieing to spicy fucking mayonnaise. :/

Roe (as it's called around here) never did it for me either. The most I can stand of it is as a topping on other sushi and even then I won't specifically ask for it.
