Nothing is safer than me driving myself. And you know I don't care about the environment.

depends where you are, there's certain times of night or areas i wouldn't ride the bus through. if you live in a suburb public transit is usually a little cleaner and a whole lot safer compared to the city.

Well growing up I would always see poor people getting off the bus, and lots of minorities, and then I always saw them breaking down so I told myself that I never wanted to have to ride the bus because it was obviously shitty.

Oh but its true, California is nice to the homeless, and only poor people ride the bus.

that's awesome, I saw the title of the thread and the last poster 'kthx' and thought to myself 'wow, he's just going to say something like only poor people ride the bus'.

Only poor people ride the bus once they turn 16, so I haven't had to worry about it in over eight years. Public transportation is shitty and I would never use it.

Guest repliedBut it was a black man, why would he hate on para?!?!Originally posted by Stompa View PostYo para,
Sounds like a typical "brown kid in Ohio rides on public transportation" story tbh--the Midwest is a bunch of closet redneck racists. I ride the bus about once a week to school too. There's some sketch ass people on the bus for real.
Everyone has AIDS in DC (seriously just google AIDS DC). If an old man kicked me on the bus I'd say thank you for not giving me AIDS instead. That dude probably would have cut you if you even said anything to him.

When I was in 6th grade our school bus driver was a pedophile. He'd pick us up really early so that we got to the school 30 minutes before we were supposed to. Then he'd come back and sit with whoever had a seat open. I was the last one on the bus, so it was usually me.
He also brought in a video camera and recorded people that were asleep. I have no idea as to what he did with the hours of footage he had of sleeping middle and high school students, and I'm not sure I want to know.
Also, he work at Subway in town, so whenever I went to Subway he gave me free cookies
Needless to say, he got fired towards the end of the year. I heard he's actually in a mental institution now - maybe he pleaded insanity.
As for your story Para, I told you that you should have lived on campus. The COTA buses are scary. My roomie and I got on one last year and ended up getting on the wrong one. The bus driver pulled over and yelled at us for 5 minutes because we just never got off the bus. Then when we did get off, he yelled at us again and actually chased us for a little while. I haven't been on a COTA bus since, lol.
