It is interesting, though, that the SCOTUS justices voting to overturn Roe were chosen by non-popularly elected presidents

i think 4 of the 9 supreme court justices were nominated by presidents who lost the popular vote: Barrett (Trump), Kavanaugh (Trump), Gorsuch (Trump), and Roberts (Bush).

Alito (Bush) was nominated in Bush's second term, where he won the popular vote -- although one could argue the huge incumbency advantage derived from being president while losing the vote count makes it 5 of 9.

confirmed by Senators representing a minority of the country.

the senate is even more undemocratic than the presidential election:

"40 million people who live in the 22 smallest states get 44 senators to represent their views and interests. The 40 million people in California get two. Or consider that the majority of Americans (51%) now live in the nine largest states – and yet they get a mere 18% of the seats in the Senate."

This inequity persists with Constitutional Amendments, where 38 of 50 states are required. Factor in gerrymandering, a filibuster that isn't in the constitution (and the founding fathers "contemporaneous writings suggest views that ranged from ambivalent to negative about the value of delaying tactics in general"), and lobbyists, and it's hard to think of an advanced country with a worse democratic framwork.
