Shark shrap should be fixed. TWBD/TWLB use non-standard spawn times: 6 seconds. So the shrap was being prized...

Quick and dirty analysis of greens and various effects. I'm just copying from a spreadsheet, formatting is bad.

  • Using aliases to evade ignores and harass someone, particularly over a long period of time, is considered punishable harassment. If this happens to you, go in-game, press ESC to open the chat window to full, then press the PrintScreen button at least 5 times...

Outsider perspective: this idea is really exciting. Could modernize basing. There are far too many blowouts that are 10-15 minutes of perfect and near-perfect cram. The losers are frustrated, the winners might enjoy a win well-executed but overall come away...

There's no indication he's interested in excluding people, from what I can tell. It's based off the ending season scores of an automated arena.

If you make the top 20 and he says, "Jessup is arbitrarily banned from playing the championship",...

Extending season seems like a solid compromise. 2 weeks (until the end of February) should be enough for someone even with 0 games this season to hit enough games for 100% confidence if they're serious about it.

It would also have the added benefit...

Thanks, MS and I worked on it quite a bit. It could still use tweaking, though, particularly for edge cases. If you or Ease or anyone else can find flaws or ways to improve, it's definitely appreciated. Didn't get much in the way of comment when we posted...

Hell, I was even playing elim then. That's how I got recruited to my first squad, like a lot of people. That was when we were still running the old bot, the one PriitK made, so it operated on a different set of rules. Then WingZero remade it at some point,...

I'll have to doublecheck if it uses the 7 day rule or not. It also displays the start date as the end date, looks like. Not sure what's going on there.

Was more a problem pre-confidence. It used to be you'd need I believe 50 combined kills...

Should we stop Kill Races from counting toward GP, or just remove them entirely? (They don't make much sense for an arena centered around elimination anyhow. More just a legacy thing.) Note that there may be problems associated with either one, though both...

Nice idea. Seems like it'll definitely provide some binding element across elim seasons, something badly needed. Thanks for taking this on.

If needed, I can pull top 20 from the DB at the end of the season with stats. We now also record round...

Testing new WebM tag! (Available on far right of controls, the W. Excuse the programmer art for the button.)

Think this tag may also work on MP4 files.

    One disadvantage...

  • Here's a list of everyone who's capped 5 or more times over the course of the 4686 games in the history of TW's ?go base. Works out to a total of 272 names (not necessarily unique, as it doesn't account for aliases or ZH/ER names).

    Could use a...

  • Good question. Why did you propose using TWDT ratings to begin with? (You realized a flaw in the plan, and had to pivot. That's totally normal.)

It just needs to be able to be reviewed by the community. That's all. I believe in your ability to...

    Cool stuff!

Wish we could embed WEBM. It's a much better format for this kind of thing, somewhat recently popularized on the chans, with a drastically reduced filesize. I think we might be able to do custom BB code... will have to look into i...

To clarify, last season winners won't be wiped (thus, "immortalized" is accurate). Before S7, winners were not even placed on the map AFAIK. I think S6 went on for about 2 years.

Fair point on the rewards. They seem a bit paltry, especially...

  • This isn't complicated. The issue is in showing not just who is on the whitelist, but also, who isn't. That needs to be made explicit so that anyone can see it. Right now it isn't clear. It's fine if it's all 7* in base, all 8*, or some other numerical criteria....

  • Still needs to be quantified somehow, though.

I don't think you want to use star ratings anymore, so let's use something else. Shouldn't be too tough. It doesn't need to be fine-grained, either. To make it simple, I'd suggest 3 tiers, rather than...

  • If you don't care enough to put in the time to ensure it's done fairly, it's probably not enough of a problem to justify the risk of it being fixed in a way that could very well be unjust.

  • Captain ability really does need to be quantified, guys, so that people can look over the list and see not whether someone is on it or not, but whether their level of competency as a captain is over a certain threshold. Then people can evaluate both the values...
