OK, after canceling numerous orders of graphics cards, I have finally decided I'm just going to stick with one, and I need to be perfectly sure about it.

So, the ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB takes my fancy, I have been told by a lot of people that it's the best card ATI have made so far and is well worth buying. The other thing I like about this card is how the makers of HL2 have approved it, and is the best card to buy for playing the upcoming release on and you get a free HL2 coupon too!!!11

Any of you guys apart from Conc had any good or bad experiences with this card or have any useful sites for my research?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The Radeon 9600XT is the Radeon 9800's low budget little brother and it's certainly, by far, not the best performing card out there. The 9800XT (or Nvidia's GeForce 5950 Ultra) is the best available card right now. I say that, because the X800 Pro and X800 XT (or Nividia's GeForce 6800) have been released, but are VERY difficult if not impossible to come by. Later this month these top of the line cards should hit the shelves in force...

The 9600 XT IS a very decent card though, just not the performance king you've been led to believe
