Samurize

I was wondering if anyone used Samurize, the monitoring customizable program. Is it supposed to be used with WindowsBlind or LiteStep or any of those programs? And what is the difference btwn Samurize and those programs? (are WindowsBlind and LiteStep shell replacements?) ... I'm just starting to get interested in the whole desktop customization and I dunno what most ppl use and what the diff btwn these programs are.
