Laggy

hi, i have one problem.

i got 256mb of RAM in my computer,

i keep getting lagged on games that eat up my RAM like an automatic car does on petrol.

i tried ending the unimportant processes but still the same lag.

can anyone point me to a link or give me tips on improving the situation?

and btw, i dont got enuff cash for more RAM so thats outta the question till christmas

You can try an adaware scan first see if some spyware is eating up your system resources.

Edit: If you're going to buy some more memory soon, get some double sided DDR if your mobo supports it.

It is still debatable wheater double sided RAM does increase proformence, but it wouldn't hurt. Before you do buy anything make sure your motherboard can handle it, check the manufacturers web site for the specs.

im going to buy one stick of 512 266mhz DDR
to increase it to 768mb yey

i only have 2 RAM slots on my mobo dammit.
and its a microstar one that no one has ever heard of before. drat
