i wonder what would have happened if i had joined wr instead of existenze so many months ago... god only knows how it would have affected the squad, but i would have probably stayed there until the end and would be writing a sentimental "goodbye wr" post right now.

it makes me wonder.. i really had my heart set on wr, and they debated letting me join for like 2 months. i didnt see any progress being made, so i decided to do what i had been doing, which was join new squad squad with potential. so i joined zxer's squad existenze. then i went through a process that lasted quite a while of basically joining new squads and watching them blossom and die in a matter of a few weeks.

existenze to intrigue to war angels to elfbot to provoke. this is one of the best times i have had playing subspace. especially with provoke. after provoke died i was sick of all the failures and decided to go back to the simple life joining a squad with a solid foundation. incuria seemed right.

it worked for a while but i kind of felt like we were in the doldrums, not a lot of change was going on, no one seemed too excited about the potential of the squad. and the afternoons were boring since everyone else was euro besides me.

then i met apt and it became pretty damn obvious that the two of us worked well together and the time was right to make a squad. so we made juice, and this is hands down the most fun i have had playing the game and probably always will be. unfortunately apt had to go join the navy or some shit and k-i was quitting the game for a while, xu dissappeared when some of the weight apt carried was transferred to his back, and i was left to run a squad alone. i could have done this if i had no life other than subspace, but running a squad really does require several hours of play a day and my patience was soon shot. i stopped playing as much and things started to stagnate, we recruited a bunch of douchebags and finally i realized that this wasnt really juice and that there was a much better option for me and i shut the shit down.

that option was anti-scrub. i would join no other squad than anti-scrub. when i was on juice i always wondered why they didnt dissolve; they seemed to take blow after blow. why did i join them? cause seeing them get through those times game me respect for them, and i knew brookus and holydude were just about the 2 most experience players in basing and i wanted to work with them. a-s was different from incuria cause we eventually did get into the game, we built our way up to the top through teamwork. winning twlb without selling out by joining a squad that would take me there with no effort on my part was my ultimate goal.

so yeah, it was a long rant, but im saying maybe it was destiny that wr would invite me to join 2 days after i had joined existenze.
