yeah the way twl is run has absolutely nothing to do with 'where the good players are' it really seems the same as it's always been. are there ever more than 3 really good squads in any given league? not really. and you mention these 'elite squad's' and stray has beaten three of three so far, so i guess we are in our own league at this point

if you look at all the squads rosters and see the players on them, then realize that these good players never log on because twl is so bad now, well.. really your in a league of a few old players logging on vs squads with players that dont bother to log on

imagine the NFL in what... 1988 when they had the strike and the replacement players took over... well ok then stray is the team of replacements that is better than the other replacements

but we all know they were replacements, not the real nfl... after the strike was over the replacements were all fired and the real players came back

The reason why this TWL sucks is because there is no Demonfaze, Sika, or Kthx. Demonfaze got bored and I think quit. Sika probally couldn't manipulate his lag anymore and decided enough was enough. Kthx got tired of the politics.


What this season is missing most is Quicksand.....

You need a Vilian in a game like this, and that is what QS was. Some squads didn't care if they one a TWL title, just as long as they beat Quicksand. Kthx aka Wark <ER> did an awesome job with HON last season and tweaked everyone's interest. I even found his articles good, even when he talked about me. I believe that if kthx was still around he would have kept things more interesting.

What made this TWL go to shit.... ?

KIM<------- P_L didn't do a bad job when he was in. KIM shouldn't have been put in the spot that he was in. He isn't approchable and plays favorites. I'm glad the douchebag quit. Hopefully he starts work at his family's nail salon soon. Dameon, Reaver, Weaver, Riistar, Aquatiq, were in my opinion a bettter choice then him.( Those first three were a great credit to staff)( Preditor FMM or something was another awesome mod). (awesome mods are the one's that take time to explain, walk you though things, are cordial when they speak) I have played this game for like 3 or 4 years and saw the most staff turnover during Kim's reign.

As of right now I don't think there will be a next season with the amout of people loosing interest as they are now....

and honestly if lifeban had their good lineup actually show up for twld games instead of just adding our javs cuz no one cares about twl anymore, then pretty sure we couldve at least gotten to twld finals this season, which is pretty sad

This would be a viable argument if we didn't show up to our games. We tried with what warbirds we have, while our main focus being in TWLJ. You can't possibly accuse us because we place our squad's focus in another league, while wanting to be part of TWLD.

if your squad didn't crumble like a cookie you could have made twlj. yet the fact that what, 2-3 squads dropped out and you still weren't a replacement i think shows how badly you wanted to join

Welps, just having been recently axed from Style, I'd like to say good luck to all the squads and have fun playing this somewhat competitive, albeit boring TWL.

For as much slack as Pascone's taken I'll admit he's actually done a pretty good job at running TWL. In fact, his only major mistake was with prohibiting certain squads from getting into TWL, despite them qualifying. There are numerous reasons for this but the most prominent one is that you'll upset many people by keeping them out of the league even though they qualified, sometimes even to the point where they won't play TWL anymore over it. In the same token, people that thought they didn't qualify will be happy now, but they certainly wouldn't be nearly as annoyed if they didn't make it into TWL, because they didn't make the qualification requirements and they knew this.

As for competition in TWLD, it's just as great now as it was many years ago, if not greater. People have had a longer amount of time to play the game, and based on your reaction time and physical limits, you can only become so good. A finite level of ability and an increasing length of time to play naturally means competition would become greater because squads would become closer in skill. The only real thing that's changed is that a few iconic players have quit and were replaced by people with newer names, so it feels like competition is dying, but it's not.
