Anybody who truly knows me knows that I wouldn't axe someone, especially after the hard lock, unless it was the only solution remaining. And anybody who would lose respect for me based on a decision I made without knowing my reasons for doing so isn't worth having respect with in the first place.

My two cents.
Not all people play under the premise that winning is the only value to this game. Some people enjoy the game because logging on and hanging with the people in their squad is a break from their real life. It could be that a pickup game in the evening serves as a distraction from real life, a way to escape and forget about other stresses.
Of course, for some people the game itself is THE stress. Exalt, perhaps this is the problem for you, the game has turned into a stress in your life. I would recommend that if anyone has found that the game has become more stressful than enjoyable, take a break.

The leagues are not the end-all-to-be-all. Don't let the braggers fool you into thinking that you have to have a 3 cross league championship under your belt to be 'someone' in TW. If you enjoy the game, whatever the reason, go with it.

i dont know how you can say that if you don't recognize names then they aren't worthy. even still, everyone has potential. the more people who can participate in leagues and events the better, right? Total community happiness should be the goal.

I went from Dark Knightz (or something), to Grafix (end of pub days for me, after about 5-6 months of just pubbing) to War time (been in elim for a bit, getting to be OK at it)... to -Knightz- (attempt at running a squad, and being competitive...and we were decent, just not Burnt/Rampage of time). Then Rampage wouldn't let me join, I joined Siege..and the rest was history. Point being, I was on many no name filled squads, and it took TIME and EXPERIENCE to get anywhere. Any squad/person will be better off with practice.

By being around for a while, you may only be familiar with others who have been around a while, thus, ignorant of the new crowd. No one can say if these people have skills or not, time will tell. You cannot tell me that having a list of players that long for a squadlist, is bad for the game or the league though.

and honestly if lifeban had their good lineup actually show up for twld games instead of just adding our javs cuz no one cares about twl anymore, then pretty sure we couldve at least gotten to twld finals this season, which is pretty sad
