Whaaat? That's not even what I said. They won't respect it AS MUCH as they do now. I never said they fully respect TWL, besides, if they didn't respect it to some degree I don't think they'd play it.

Hopefully next season we will have a new webpage. That shall make things a lot more simple!

I think the value of TWL as a whole would decrease if we included amateur/intermediate leagues Ricko.Originally posted by Ricko View Posti will also make an input here as pascone is always afk; is there going to be an implimentation of an amateur/intermediate league into twl next season? or any change which has been discussed.
Nobody would really need to try to get into a top league, as long as they play in a league it would be fine. =\
Although actually this could be a good idea for newbie squads who are recruiting in pub...I just think they would end up treating the league like TWD and not respect it as much as veteran players respect TWL now.

1. well if you asked for 3pm and they asked for 2pm or something, and if both were still open, i gotta check all the other games: ld/lj/lb. if an lb game has only one requested time, say 3pm, they will get that time. same thing if an lj team only has one time there, they get their time automatically. those situations are of highest priority.Originally posted by Reaver View PostYou're gonna have to elaborate on point one, if I understand what you're saying it doesn't make sense to me.
I understand point two, but keep in mind that if you wait until Friday night to assign a time when two teams haven't agreed on a time, it's going to end up as 1pm or 5pm every time.
Point three, Maybe this is something that needs to be fixed for next season in some rule or maybe staff needs some more hosts.
Point four, Again I'm not sure I follow on this one, if I do then I don't agree so if you could elaborate some more. If I'm understanding you correctly then I think having games back to back is perfectly fine, especially if the squad has depth, now that you mention it.
Point five, man, if that really goes into account on your decision making I think we've got a serious problem here. That shouldn't even register on your radar, whether we're 9-1 or 1-9.
Point six, yep you gotta do what you gotta do. I think staff could get some more hosts for next season to help with this problem.
Point seven, well I'm not calling bullshit, but if what all you said is true we're just pretty unlucky, which I'm not ruling out here.
Thanks for taking time to explain your decisions, maybe you could elaborate on some of those points and justify point five.
2. i did forget last thursday to do the times. every other week i have fixed the times on thursday, and will again this week.
3. i think it's been long established and agreed on by everyone that we need more er's. also, it is somewhat like this so more people can watch the games instead of all of them being at one time. these games do get large spectators at the games, especially the great matchups, so i have no problem having less games at each hour.
4. by that i meant squads that have games in each league (which i realize your squad does as well). again, i don't think there have actually been situations this year that i was able to flip a coin between your time and the other squad's requested time. there just aren't enough time slots and usually the one(s) you and them request are filled, unless they happen to request 1 or 5, then it looks like them getting their time, but is more that the other times were filled.
5. (shoulda said player opinion, not twl op opinion) i mentioned this simply because if my squad was 9-1 with the only loss being a 50-49 loss, there is no way i would be complaining. what difference would it actually make if your twld game was at 3 or 5. perhaps it effects your life somewhat, but that's why you have more than 5 people on your roster. again, this was not a legitimate point, just saying again, if my squad was 9-1, i would have nothing to complain about.
6. again, it's not all about hosts, but it is a lot of the problem. it doesn't seem like it's as big a problem as it was last year, but we changed it based on how it was going last year. there were several weekends where we had people hosting multiple games. we can't have that. but yeah, we do need more hosts
7. again like i said, i don't remember a situation where both your squad and the other wanted strictly 2, 3, or 4pm sunday games and nothing else. so while it looks like the other squad is favored, it's simply because the other times are filled and there isn't really an opportunity for a coin flip. this is really just used for the saturday vs sunday situations.
when i pick the times for squads that couldn't agree, i click each game, look at the times each requested. i don't write down what squad is playing who, or even what league it is. it's as unbiased as possible. but of course, from your view, it does look like i'm out to get you. if only you could see all the other negotiations it would probably be clearer

point one doesn't always work out then? i'm fairly certain we've asked for a time before and the other team hasn't responded and we've gotten a time that didn't match up with our request.

You're gonna have to elaborate on point one, if I understand what you're saying it doesn't make sense to me.Originally posted by pascone View Postwell yeah, it is pretty much a one man show. there are several factors i have to look at.
one - do any other games have only one time requested, because they will
get their time first - automatically.
two - there can only be four games per time slot as we have problems finding enough hosts as many people on staff are also on twl squads
three - after considering those two points, it comes down to filling out the rest of the schedule. often, a lot of the times you want (3pm, 4pm) are the popular times that other squads also pick. thus, i can't put more games in one slot
four - i try to accomadate each squad as much as possible. when i see a squad that has two games in a row and the only other available time is at 5pm and it would be their third game in a row (such as last weekend against dice) it makes a lot of sense to put it there. granted, it probably doesn't for you, but i figure deep squads should be able to get players at anytime.
five - your squad is 9-1... does it really matter when your regular season games are? really.
six - when there are no situations in which three consecutive games could be arranged due to filled time slots, i will put the game at either 1pm or 5pm on sunday because everyone will complain if i were to put their game on a saturday
seven - if there is a situation where the both the time slots are available, i will simply flip a coin after randomly assigning one team's desired time on heads.
hopefully this clears it up
