Said it in the other one, suppose I'll voice my support here too. I really think LD needs to have 10-12 squads playing in it. It'll hurt overall activity during the twl season if you cut that many birds out. Not to mention, there are definatly 12 capable squads for ld. Sure they might not be -f-s or Syndicates or strays, whatever. They're squads that can cause some great upsets, and make a much more interesting season overall. I know I played a whole season with Savanger and we didn't do bad at all, my squad has a hell of alot of those guys, and others that have played just as long. We'd cause some hurt, and stay stable through a twl season, done it before. Until we have an AML going, I think it'd suck to only have 8 spots for LD - it IS the oldest and most popular league.

it will be interesting to see if it's even worth playing disoblige anymore. last season my squad got screwed up because of ave r, and playing diso at this moment would inevitably lead to the same denial of entering leagues and further prove ave r is useless, since i usually don't bother showing for a game unless the opponents have more than 1200 rating anymore.

avg r might seem ok, but some squads (who have been around since reset) have a harder time increasing avg r because their first 20-30 games they cant really get higher then the 900-1000s. Just an idea but avg r should be reset around mid season to allow for this. I know if my squad was to dissolve and comeback 1 month ago our avg r would be 1100-1300

I wasn't around last twl, so I can't really refer to it. Although I do know, that even with those numbers you've layed down, 10 would seem alright. If you had one or two squads drop out, I mean, that's just part of the game, it happens. Why not let the top 3 from the twd-cup take twl spots? Their finishing spots, deciding seeding or whatever. That way you can still use the same system that's been made, but a couple more LD squads get in.

My whole thought is, this is a premium league. Only the best squads should be competing in it. Everyone always says at the beginning of TWL that there are only like three-four squads that can win it all, and they always do. Tossing in extra squads for extra games just makes everything take a lot longer.

I'd have less of a problem with 8 squads if the roster limit was smaller, so those squads that have a bunch of guys that usually end up benching when they should probably be starting on other squads, therefore, it could make sense there

Sweet probably will make it since we have a fairly good top line with decent depth. If I'm correct both caps of Battle are on vacation at the moment so who knows what will happen if they get back. Diso and QS both have a very good chance of getting into TWLD and it would be foolish to say QS won't make it untill the very last minute.

I think the main question will be what you would like to see more:
A. Have fierce competition before TWL starts about who qualifies with chances of squads laming their way in, getting screwed over by ave R, and all that kind of stuff. Which might also lead to squads dissolving because they failed to enter TWL.
or
B. Have squads compete heavily during TWL. I'm not sure how the playoffs system will work but even with 10 squads in it I guess you could have the same amout of playoff spots and thus make the compition during TWL a lot more fierce. I think for atleast a few squads having the chance to play in TWL is more important then reaching playoffs so this might encourage squads to hang in there for next season.
