In the future if it becomes a thing again I think doing in game ?messages to friends and mentioning about it on squads ect could help regain what we had or help create an interest in others who never tried it . Not everyone cares too much about forums like some of us but enjoying a game of mafia may make them get interested, Actually pushing mafia resurgence could be good for forums. New people and new perspectives and MORE BICKERING!! :P but in this case it is just fantasy play type LOL. A much more healthy approach . wait what. the internet isn't real life anyways?? nevermind. :P
