I'm late jumping into this thread, but I have limited Net access so fuck off. I can't be trolling threads five minutes after they're created. At least not for a few more days.
I've met five "Internet people", as you so eloquently call them. Like they're physically different from others or something. Anyway:
A few weeks ago I was supposed to meet up with Wark, Petey and a couple of other Houston-area residents, but I've been too lethargic to do anything, much less drive 150 miles just to make an ass of myself. Oh well.
Overall my experiences as far as meeting "Internet people" have been fun. It can be kind of awkward since you really only know these people as lines of text on a screen, but I adapt to awkward situations pretty well, so I had some good times.
I've met five "Internet people", as you so eloquently call them. Like they're physically different from others or something. Anyway:
- First was Cortney and Andy, a couple of my friends from my early ('99 or so) Java chat hellraising days. We went to the mall and I got banned for life from a bunch of stores. Fun times.
- A couple of years later I met Jason and Jeff, two of my buds from IRC. Jeff came down from Sherman, we went to Jason's apartment in Tyler, got drunk, watched porn, got drunker, played loud music, and I eventually fell asleep under his coffee table. I also stole about 35 gigs of music from his comp before leaving.
- Finally there was Angel, a girl in Oklahoma that I basically visited on a dare. We hung out in the backyard (not innuendo, shut it), I got attacked by her vicious poodles, and her dad threatened to call the cops on me like I was some kind of criminal, despite the fact that her mom invited me to stay. I also got a ticket for speeding and running a stop sign on the way out of town.
