Don't you love the fact that no matter what political or ethical stance is being taken in a protest, there are always drunk idiots causing riots just to steal shit?

ps, yes I'm very aware a small conflict in the balkan was the start of WW1 but its quite clearly that the importance of the balkan has changed quite a bit since then.

Tadic : "I'm asking this question of you because if you cast a blind eye to this illegal act, who guarantees to you that parts of your countries will not declare independence in the same way?"

    Let's hope Friesland does. ^-^

You are funny dude... You forget the big forces that drive each side of those little unimportant nations. Add a new missile crises in Poland and you got some high tension. Tho, Its more likely that a big WW3 will start in the Far-East Asia, conflicts about sea territories.

Anyway it will be nice to see how Europe, or let say more specific, the EU, will welcome new Kosovo. They aren't so eager to let Turkey join the EU so far so I wonder what they will do with them.

Ahhh. The Balkan is one of the most fucked-up places in the world for all of its ethnic, religious and ideological diversity.

You might not know it, but Slovenia as the presiding country to the EU was obliged to acknowledge Kosovo's independence as the first country in the world, following a prolonged role as the leading mediator.

Some Serbs, mostly the deluged ones with dreams of a Grand Serbia, were not too happy about it, and a few bombs were detonated shortly before the declaration of independence in some of Mercator's shopping malls (Mercator is Slovenia's Wal-Mart, having expanded to the Balkan states a few years ago).

    afghanistan first and usa second.

EU will have a tough task with this one if UN wont help (due to russian veto) when there is dissonance within the EU as well. interesting <_<
