Actually, I can think of a lot of people who only got good at this game BECAUSE they wanted to overcome the shit talk and beat the "elite" player's asses in. Quicksand and izor did more for TW during their time than a super nice squad like Disoblige ever did. Shit talk makes people want to get better, period.

I only started playing tw seriously when I played elim for the first time and I was getting raped by faggots like 2dragons, and shit talked by faggots like claws or w/e. I decided to make a good name, find a good squad, and get better.

I represent myself, the Trench Wars community, and the Subspace/Continuum community as a whole.

In the video “STUPID PUPPY you made apassing mention of Subspace. Since you referenced it like that, youmust not be aware of the current situation.

Subspace is still alive today, underthe name of “Continuum.” Unfortunately, the game has been dying for a long time, as old players leave, and no new players fill their places, since no one knows about the game anymore. Trench Wars, the largest zone in Continuum, used to draw 650+ players during the weekend, 500 during a weekday. Today, it struggles to break only 300 on a very busy weekend, and only averages around 180-190 players on the weekday. Other zones in Continuum are no different; Death Star Battle, a once thriving zone with 100 players daily, now has a playercount of less than 40, many of those idling or bots, meaning that the public arena there is effectively dead.

The game is hemorrhaging players, but we have few options. The largest problem we have is that we struggle first, to make our game known to other people since we are unable to advertise, and second, to keep new players from leaving when they start.

I personally have been on the receiving end of the latter; the person I talked to played the game for a few hours and left permanently. I feel that the reason is that people simply don't see the great value and inherent fun in the game. Theyare “turned off” by the 1990s era 2d graphics from the momentthey start the game from the first time, so they do not spend the time to learn the fundamentals of the game to see what it is reallylike under than old exterior.

As a Subspace veteran yourself, you know the value of the game. You know how fun it really is, since your eferenced it in your video. We players that have kept the game alivethis long – making it the oldest continually-run MMO in existence – share your nostalgic attitude to the game.

The reason I am contacting you is because we feel you can help us. You have connections to so manypeople in the YouTube community that merely talking about it for ashort time would make our beloved game well known to anyone whowatches your video.

We are not asking you to do much – asI said above, a mere reference in more detail than the one in “STUPIDPUPPY” would help us and the game immensely. You could perhaps gofurther than that if you wish, but any ideas would be yours to make,since you know best how to interact with your fans.

So, the prognosis for our game is bad.We are bleeding profusely, and it will be only a matter of timebefore we bleed out completely, leaving only the dedicated handful tokeep the spirit of our game alive. We need a transfusion of blood –a transfusion of new players, new people – to stay alive.

how am I the only one who thinks having a spike of thousands of new players at once trolling the shit out of us would ruin this game entirely? it takes years to get good at subspace anyway. all these newbies that everyone wants so bad wouldn't do shit but add lag to our weak server. the only player that I can think of who started after 2008 and actually played in twl is cres, and we all know how that ended. just let this shit die unless you wanna get beat by a bunch of faggots with names like ladygaga9999 in 5 years

Honestly, the "let this shit die" idea is one we should consider only if all else fails. And if all else fails, i say we evenly distribute the thousands we have sitting the coffers to each member of the forum based on their post count: SUH SUH.

I believe that we need to just go all out with our advertising, take an aggressive approach. and if that doesn't work then at least we can say we tried, and we have one last pub party and then wake up the next morning and we bury this game in a Boromir from Lord Of the Rings type funeral,
