I think for the majority of players ignore is not about standing up for yourself. It's about not being annoyed by children who like to spam or play the old game, "who has the bigger e-penis". There are those people out there though who say "ignored" and then don't use the command, which is pretty damn funny.

Well, I guess, but I don't really see the point in advertising who is on your list. If someone annoys you that much then all it shows is that you let it get to you by showing their name on your list. If you ever unignore then they will just try that much harder the next time.
