I play continuum in pub 0 sometimes. When I do it is purely on a gamepad and has been so for at least 6 months. It has taken a lot of pad shopping, but these days I can finally use a control mapping that works best for me as it is not very traditional at all. Thankfully saitek's contorllers can be programmed to any button you like, making the dpad which was once before useless to me, the button i use to spec and attach. A series of four out of six face buttons make up my directional control, the other two are ticker movement. The left trigger is the bullet, the right the boost. This control scheme is designed specifically for the warbird and also because most dpads are unusable for directional movement (especially when you have 4 small and easily pressable buttons right there).
I own a nintendo ds. It now has internet ability and I think with a wireless nic you can get it to get to the internet through your system. There are already ways to use this to run demos from your computer that your ds can play (may require flashing also). The system has two small screens and some decent graphics and processing power behind it. I for one, think it would be pretty neat if it were possible for me to play pixel fest on the handheld. It would take quite a significant change to the source though, especially adding somethings to make as much accessible (using toucscreen for chat, typing, and out of game menu so you can define the controls how you would like, especially dpad buttons) as well as using it's way over the required specs to help counter the size of the top screen, for the sake of resolution. Maybe when you're playing and not in chat&typing screen, the bottom could be radar. Imagine having that whole bottom screen as a radar. You wouldn't even need that big of a gba flashcart, they have ones that can play FULL THROTTLE with SCUMMVM.
I'd say I would be more than willing to make an attempt at making that, but since it involves continuum secret recipe, I can only hope Priitk still reads these forums and owns a DS. Of course since it also involves the internet, nintendo probably has some proteced system for it, so it might just suck too much for him to do it. But mann, I've played full throttle a million times before, back when it came out. I want to be able to kill people over the internet all over again, but this time with a handheld.
