Dont limit TWD rosters, that would be stupid. Some people wants to log on once in a while and play some twd, no reason to axe them because it benefits noone. Inactive players dont form sqds.
Reducing TWL roster size, well I guess Im against it but I understand if some people wants to do it. That could be worth trying, propably would be a failure tho.

And spastic didnt die to inactivity
We had enough players but were either not wanting to play, or if we did play we sucked ass and lost a lot of games.
It went downhill when assistants and caps were leaving for other squads.

I swear to you when spastic was dissolved, 5-10 players came on who havent been on for a while and got active again.
If they aren't playing they are inactive, they can't start if all the good players are on the same team. Need to create room. Shake off the dust and open up to more competition.
Like I said it doesn't have to be 25, it's just a variable that can be changed.

I mean yeah, it'll help a little. Some squads are pretty good at keeping their rosters clean of inactives, especially the newly created or recreated ones (dice, mad) and have about a dozen players each that can contribute to other squads if axed, but most of these players aren't capable of running squads by themselves, and it's not like they can join another squad that's hit the 25 roster cap.

If a squad like spastic with a 40+ roster can dissolve due to inactivity, I don't see how reducing roster sizes will help anything. Basically out of those 314 squadless players, I'd say an optimistic estimate of 100 players (1/3) actually still play and would want to join a squad. That's around 4 extra squads total for all leagues.

Gran makes a good point. Im all in for a 30 (maybe 25...but thats pushing it) man limit to TWD as well as TWL rosters. The new squads may suck....but they will have potential to excel as well. By implementing this...even if 4-5 Syne/Serenity/Warpath caliber squads are formed....it is a great success.

If we went with the 25 roster limit, we would have 314 players who now need a squad. That's at least 12 more squads if they choose to make 25 roster sized squads out of those numbers.
Not to mention the other squads who just were right on the money of 25 players, or well below that so they can use a little help recruitment wise as well.

so what if most of them won't make twl, the competition is what drives us to try. If some new squad that emerged out of this expansion and fought its way to twl it could knock off a squad that was more than qualified because there wasnt enough teams to begin with.

You act like every single person is a retard and there are no good captains whatsoever at all and only ones that exist are already a captain of a squad.
You are missing the part where some players can take initiative.
You never know Joe schmo who never captained before but was always an assistant or loyal to his squad turns out to be a really good captain just never had the opportunity because he didn't have anyone to recruit from.
Just random newbies aint going to cut it. If a roster reduction was put into effect there will be some players who are good enough to start and help out with the expansion of newer squads (who might as well end up being captain to them)

You are still missing the part about there not being enough good captains, being a captain requires something different then just being a player, there are tons of good players who can't captain a squad for shit. People know who good captains are and join their squads.

No one said they had to go join some newbies squad
They can have a little initiative and start their own and recruit people who can VOLUNTARILY leave the squad. They don't have to wait to be axed to fit the roster size reduction.
Probably we see these stupid squads recreate over and over again is because no one can start their own squad and recruit when everyone is flocking to one of these top squads just so they can win.
More players who aren't apart of these teams anymore because the roster is full will find another squad or create one for themselves to play. If they want to play then they will do it. With more people no longer on these squads it adds a flood of free agents who can join the newer squads (Kind of like an expansion)
More competition means more activity, more activity means players are getting interested in playing again. Heck some players who are inactive might wake up again just to play some more because there's more life in the zone.
I don't know what will exactly happen, I'm not making guarantees but what I do know is better than letting the entropy take over us until we die.

I am just saying no matter how badly you want the players you think are good but won't start on their current squad to join your squad/other squads it isn't going to happen. Most of the players who used to be good join squads with other good people so they don't have to deal with retards. Squads are a sub community in a game that is only alive due to a community. It is too late to add something like this, it is too late to do anything like this because like I said before, good players aren't going to join trash squads. That is why the same squads remake every year under different names. Epidemic, Mad, Fatal, are just the same top three squads last season with slightly altered rosters from in squad feuds or whatever the reason. The only thing that would happen from this would be headaches from listening to people complain about it for months.

Down with squad corporations
I'm not looking at some of the squads that are barely able to scrape 4 to dd/jd
and not enough to get a full 8 for bd
but 25 should be enough for 5's for both dd/jd and 8 for bd with ample enough subs.
I'm looking at the top squads who got well over what they need to start some players.

It wouldn't matter, there could still be 70 people on the roster with 25 on the TWL roster and 70 people claiming they are twl champions. If you think that reducing the twl roster size to 25 is going to stimulate activity among more squads you are wrong, every squad knows 5-7 players are going to be playing in twjd/twld and probably 8-12 in twlb, the other 20-50 players know they aren't starting or even coming close to playing. So unless you want to limit the actual twd roster caps this will just be ineffective. And even that won't help, because there aren't enough competent captains in this zone to lead all the of the players who get kicked off the rosters to anything big in TWL. At best you can expect another two or three warpath quality squads to form, and I honestly don't even expect that.
