  • Poll: Repel and/or shrap indicator below ship

This has been discussed a little bit in another thread but it seems to be game changing enough to warrant a poll. In short these indicators will show during play in a basing match, in shark specifically (images below), and show remaining repels and/or current shrapnel count. These update like you would expect, when used or picked up. To be clear, these are optional, so if you don't like to use them, you don't have to. By default they would be off and only with a command they can be turned on. Let me know what you think by voting and feel free to share any reasoning why in a post below.

Oh BTW, did I mention the preferences for player stats will be getting an update? Yes, for each individual ship (WB in DD, Jav in JD, and all basing ships) are going to be customization, and your settings will be saved in the future. Current options are no player stats, show own stats only, show both team and own stats. More coming in the future.

I voted both, but like I said in the other thread I still prefer we figure out a way to put the shrap number on the display bar.

I voted shrap only, I could get used to both being there though, as long as it's small.
Siaxis> yo it was way harder to kill Rage then beam in that dtd

rylo> 1.5 mil for whoever kills renzi
      (10 seconds later)
rEnZi is out. 17 kills 10 deaths. 2 players remain.
P TW-Pub> rylo sent you $1,500,000, you now have $4,047,199.

If you're going to do a thing you should to it to the best of your ability or don't do it at all.

Neither, git gud. How about you turn on *energy too, so we can see what someone's energy is at? You're making something just to make it
1:Sir Spider> you gotta kinda drag it out of him a little bit
1:Sir Spider> but once you do he just explodes
1:Sir Spider> at least on me

daresound Ah, I failed to mention in this post that these are only visible for you. You WONT see shrap and repel count for other players, just your own, so it's mainly a UI change to make the info more easily accessible.

I'm fine with a shrap indicator as that is randomized and you never really know how much of a threat a shark can be unless you see a mine from that shark blow up in the same life. As for repels, the players have the responsibility of counting reps on both sides to make plays and know when to push etc. Putting an indicator for every rep a shark has doesnt hold people accountable for not paying attention. You don't have to pay attention as much because you know how many reps each shark has. This is a negative and dumbs the game down. Just my 2 cents.

There is no new information being provided. Only the sharks themselves will see their rep/shrap info, which is currently available next to the shrap item block (which you could mod to get this info anyways) and shrap can be determined with a ?status macro.
This just shows cleaner information already available. To me, it's a lot more interesting information than K-D, which is what's currently being shown.

Oh I see. I thought everyone could see that information. I'm all for it if only sharks can see it though.
