From S12 to S18 he averaged 1-2 games per season, and he played half of S20, and he shows sub-50% in TWDT, and he only spiders in league, which means most aren't aware he's a multi-shipper.

I agree with Exalt and Tiny that 1-shippers in base shouldn't get knocked for only playing one ship, and them being 9s or 10s is fine. Multi-shippers on the bubble usually get a boost. If someone is legit 3-shipper who's a 7.2, 7.4, and 7.3 in shark, terr, and spider, they're going to be rated an 8 because that versatility is really useful in TWDT.
This is fascinating, wbm seemed more active than that. I guess he played the shit out of ?go base. Did he play any leagues with his full alias? I dunno, it's weird to think he hasn't played that much TWL considering how great he is at the game.

3-shippers to most people outside of .?go base and in TWDT threads usually mean wb, jav, and basing, and not 3 basing ships. The same thing I said previously still applies to your interpretation as well though (as an example).

The camel by committee approach absolves TWDT Ops of responsibility ("I didn't do the ratings, the captains did!"), but it produces an inferior result because 1) there is no internal consistency (some people are more generous or Scrooge-y than others) and 2) It rounds up or down (6.5 produces a 7-star, while a 6.49 produces a 6 star).

Doing it with a small group by hand is simply better. There is some subjectivity and certain players who are borderline (you can make a case that they could be an 8 instead of a 7) and so there are going to be some value picks for Captain's to take advantage of. But, like Commodo said, I think last year there were some really exploitable low-star players that were unbalanced, and we worked hard to make sure we eliminated most (if not all) of them.

My thanks to Stayon, Zidane, Turban, Ease, and Weak for their help.

Yes Tiny, I can highlight the Captains for you.

Also, I will be creating and posting the low-star packages tonight.
    U dun gud Claus.

Since a complaint is required to post in TWDT Rating threads, here's mine: I should be like a 3 star in Jav.

Ogron, could you do me a solid and highlight the captains in some color so some of us can just look at this sheet for drafting? Thanks a ton for all the work. <3

Is wbm better at wb than racka (for instance)? If not, then racka deserves the 10 in wb while wbm does not. Makes sense to me?

Did you even notice how few 9s and 10s there were? Kinda makes me sad that everyone good quit years ago. Also, technically speaking here, a 1-shipper that is better at that ship than a great 3 leaguer deserves the 9 or 10 in that ship. If it's all they play, they're probably better at it in ways a 3 leaguer wouldn't understand. Also, the only legit 3 leaguer I saw was Ease. Everyone else are not the top 5 of certain ships in each league, so it balances out.
