    TWDT-D

    Paddington
    vs. Terrorist
    50-47
    Round 1

    Video

With one of their key starters missing (Absent living up to his name)
and another suffering lag issues (Stayon living in Portugal), this looked like a foregone conclusion from the out, given that Paddington were already heavy favorites.

Instead, a hero emerged, in ALL CAPS (as most online heroes are wont to do), in the form of ROWS (16-10), who wowed audiences, and tapped into the better angels of their nature, as they enthusiastically rewarded his excellent play with cheers of "alias check that faggot there's no way ROWS is that good!" Humanity™ (work in progress).

Alongside ROWS herROWics was the always stalwart Dreamwin (12-10) who gave them a chance for a win, but mediocre scores from Rough (7-10) and little buddha (7-10), along with a disappointing opening round from Kado (4-10), who had been so good all year, hurt them, as they fell just short, losing 50-47.

As they have all year, 24 (14-9) and Shadowmere (11-7) led their team to victory, and surprise late-season breakout Attacks (13-10) continued to impress, unimpeded by sub-par play from Best (6-10) and subterranean core-of-the-fucking-earth digging his way to China play from Tiny (2-10), while a late sub-in from vys (4-1) was instrumental in securing the victory.

This was a (surprisingly) exciting match, but one that Terrorist likely had to win to have a chance to take down the warbirding behemoth that is Paddington, who could afford to miss 9-Star warbirds like Weak and Siaxis and not even have it affect their prospects in any significant way.

Great effort by Terrorist, and a good close by Paddington to escape with the victory.

    HOT: 24
    HOT: ROWS

NOT: kado (4-10). While Tiny was worse, they didn't need him to play well to win. Kado was a Top 10 warbird statistically this season, and Terror needed him in this game, and he failed to come through.

    Paddington vs. Terrorist
    50-20
    Round 2

    Video

This round was an absolute massacre, as vys (16-2) aptly illustrated the current state of warbirding in the zone when a true veteran steps into the arena, utterly annihilating Terrorist to the point where there was nothing left to bury once he was done with them.

24 (10-2) continued his stellar play, adding another TWDT-D trophy to his mantle, along with Shadowmere (11-3), as the pair completely dominated WB all season, leading Paddington to the promised land with aplomb.

Bigmon Best (9-10) was solid, clinching his second TWDT-D championship in a row, albeit in not as dominating fashion as last year, while Tiny (4-3) stayed alive and was serviceable in filling the 6-Star slot, to help his team to their first title.

Dreamwin, hellkite, Kado, Little Buddha, Rough, and ROWS crumbled against the might of Paddington, and all went negative.

I believe we have a photo of Terrorist losing during Round 2.

And with that impressive second round performance, Tiny's Paddington wins the title, after downing some of the toughest squads in TWDT-D, including Blooms in the Quarter-Finals and Silence in the Semis -- Congrats!

    HOT: vys
    HOT: Shadowmere

NOT: Rough (0-7). If an alien superweapon threatened to erase all knowledge on the planet, and we can only save 10 people from annihilation on top of that, save Rough. There is no human in existence who has a better chance of re-discovering the concept of zero.

Add a star to Paddington's portrait!

    TWDT-J

    Paddington vs. Terrorist
    50-48
    Round 1

    Video

This jav final was one for the ages, requiring a full three rounds. The first one was a feast for the eyes, going the distance, as the two best TWDT-J teams this season went toe-to-toe.

This game hung by the thread of a needle, as Terror had a 47-45 edge with a 2v2 between Stayon/Dreamwin and 24/vys. Everyone in spec thought the Dicers would easily handle a Fierce jav who has never reached the TWLJ finals and a warbird. This was a tense and gripping affair, as vys's daring foray's continually put pressure on the Terrorist duo, forcing them out of position as Stayon (on 9) was reluctant to commit behind Dreamwin, while vys (also on 9) had no such reservations, showing a fearlessness not seen since Children.

After a pair of stinging assaults, Paddington found themselves level at 47-47. 24 launched a dagger at Stayon on the right side of the map, knocking him out of the game, as Dreamwin chased him down (with vys in tow), expertly tracking him across mid and taking him out, but couldn't escape vys barreling down on him and killing him with bullets, leaving Tiny's team with a 49-48 edge, which they would then go on to close out 2v1.

A great shot by 24, followed by a superb must-hit closeout by Dreamwin to equalize, then a game-winning dive by vys to win it -- what a game!

    Great play from both teams.

24 (14-9) and vys's (6-2) sub-in proved equal to the task, ahead of good rounds from Murder (10-10) and Shadowmere (9-10), while Tiny (4-7) had to exit due to lag issues, and Mad Jack (4-10) was unimpressive as their 6-Star.

For Terrorist, Rough (15-10) and Dreamwin (14-10) were terrific, but some questionable play from Stayon (9-10) and hellkite (7-10), and low-star woes from DOWNFALL (2-10) proved too much to overcome.

    HOT: 24
    HOT: vys

NOT: DOWNFALL (2-10). Congrats on your new action figure coming out. They nicknamed you The Phantom, because you were a fucking ghost in that game and completely disappeared.

I understand warning TWDT caps he's a choking hazard, but I don't see why they had to insult his manhood, too. Overkill!

    Terrorist vs. Paddington
    50-42
    Round 2

    Video

Another great game, as Stayon (12-6) and Dreamwin (12-8) led Rough (7-9), a much-improved DOWNFALL (7-9), and a second 7-10 in a row from a hellacious Hellkite.

TWDT Superstars 24 (13-10) and Shadowmere (10-10) did their best to carry Paddington to the double-crown, but fell just short thanks to good-but-not-great play from Tiny (8-10) and vys (8-10), and a travesty of a 1-10 from Mad Jack, as Paddington fell 50-42.

This was a 41-40 thriller late into the game until Tiny caught a horrific 2fer from a mile away that knocked him out and killed 24, turning the tide irreparably. 24 and vys did what they could outnumbered, but good teaming from Terrorist sealed the deal, and the match was tied 1-1.

    HOT: Stayon
    HOT: Dreamwin

NOT: Mad Jack (1-10). You sucked so much dick in that match you qualified for a Porn Actors Guild membership. Congrats! Hopefully you catch less STDs than Tiny does bombs.

    Terrorist vs. Paddington
    50-37
    Round 3

    Video

Terrorist completed an impressive comeback after that late round one choke, taking a commanding early lead and never looking back, as Terrorist captain Dreamwin (16-7) showed up big in round 3, leading his team to the title with a superlative performance, ahead of good play from Rough (10-8) and hellkite (10-9), while Stayon (6-5) and DOWNFALL (6-8) provided support.

Paddington had a fantastic season in javelin, knocking out a very talented Silence team in the Semi-Finals, but couldn't close on their 1-0 lead despite a plethora of elite javelins, as 24, Shadowmere, Tiny, vys, and Mad Jack all went negative.

Overall, this was a great TWDT-J Final, with strong play on both sides, and exciting to watch. Congratulations to Terrorist on winning their second jav title!

    HOT: Dreamwin
NOT: Best, for refusing to play because he wasn't immediately started round one. From Best to Mcvicar to Zidane to Major Crisis, among several others, this sort of petty attitude hurts the league. Best said he was on strike, but the only thing I'd like to strike is a match, before lighting you on fire.

Let's go ahead and add a star to Terrorist's portrait!

      TWDT-B

      Baratheon vs. Terrorist
      15:00-7:15
      Round 1

      Video

This proved to be one of the best TWDT-B in recent history, as two basing juggernauts clashed for the title. Last year's 2015 Final between Patouf and Power was excellent, but Patouf was too dominant, despite it being a close game. Ditto for the 2011 Final that finished 20:00-19:53 between BONK! and dun vs me. The 2012 game between Terrorist and Power featured two of the best team's ever perhaps, but was not particularly close. Same for the 2013 stomping of dun vs me by Baratheon. Sour Milk versus Kusoge might be the closest equivalent, but these lines were stronger.

This was the closest final featuring teams this strong, and it was a doozy. Baratheon came out of the gate spitting fire, perhaps at an advantage having faced basing contenders in Silence and Stark in the Semis and Quarters, respectively, while Terrorist breezed into the Finals off a bye and a soft match vs. Blooms.

Ogron (30-4) terred ahead of Zidane (3.0 RPD) and Rodney (2.9 RPD) in shark, as the Baratheoners opened up an early lead that proved unassailable.

Solace (80-45), turban (74-39, 4 teks!!), M_M God (73-44) were a green blur over, relentlessly pushing into the fight, while Mr. Homo (61-48) continued his breakout season under, alongside good play from Geio (62-38), who'd earned the 6-Star starting spot with sizzling play throughout the playoffs.

Terrorist came out flat, and a late push proved too little, too late, as moved players around to find the best combination.

Dreamwin and NL>Trigger split terring duties, while DOWNFALL (2.8 RPD) and hellkite (2.6 RPD) tried their best to hold their own in shark, but were overwhelmed.

Stayon (75-38), Henry Saari (70-48), Rough (59-50), Kado (52-49), and NL>Trigger/Dreamwin were in spider on the losing side.

      HOT: turban
      HOT: Zidane and Rodney

NOT: It's always hard giving out NOTs in basing because your personal play is so interdependent. turban's 74-39, 4 tek performance can easily turn into a 50-59, 1 tek affair on a worse team not equipped to push properly. Other things not equipped to push properly: Arnold Schwarzenegger in Junior.

      Terrorist
      vs. Baratheon
      15:00-10:40
      Round 2

      Video

Terrorist struck back round two, with one of the best performances I've ever seen in TWDT-B Final. The crazy thing is Baratheon played really well. Terrorist was just that much better, with Dreamwin putting on one of the most ridiculous spidering performances in TWDT history, with multiple solo pushes killing 3-4 enemy players then DOA'ing a shark, chasing down the terr after an emergency warp and still getting the tek. Holy. The amount of retardedly laggy spids in this match had to be a record, between Dreamwin, Turban, Stayon, and M_M God -- it was like a buffet of bullets -- all you can eat.

NL>Trigger (46-3) played out of his fucking mind, in a sumptuous performance in terrier, pulling off some ridiculous moves to repeatedly survive amazing dives from M_M God and Turban (albeit helped by some pro euro lag and a bevy of portals), while DOWNFALL (3.0 RPD) and hellkite (2.8 RPD) were much improved over round one, despite neither managing a single tek all three rounds.

Dreamwin (107-59, 4 teks!!) was a monster, although Stayon (95-49) was also a beast over, while Henry Saari (108-49) put up impressive numbers as usual, alongside Stung (90-67) and Rough (64-55).

Ogron (40-6) terred in front of Zidane (3.0 RPD) and Rodney (2.8 RPD), as Baratheon was on the back heel most of the game, despite some good play.

Solace (104-63) was a juggernaut as usual, but despite that and decent play from Turban (92-66) and M_M God (83-68), they were outplayed over, made worse by Ogron making a mistake in trying to rotate in a brand-new under pair to get as many players playtime as possible, with Sulla (13-24) struggling and Diakka (49-38) solid but rusty after months of inactivity, with Mr. Homo and Geio subbing back in too late to recover their season-long synergy.

Ultimately, Baratheon was good but not good enough, and Terrorist was spectacular.

      HOT: dreamwin
      HOT: NL>Trigger

NOT: Ogron. Poor decision-making at a crucial point as captain not starting your winning under pair.

      Mattey's winning under pair

      Baratheon vs. Silence
      15:00-12:28
      Round 3

      Video

The final climactic battle for basing supremacy went the distance, as Baratheon made no mistake this time around, starting their winning line and blasting Terrorist with a blistering barrage of bullets and managing an early tek, earning a five minute lead with a resilient cram.

I recommend watching the video over reading this, as Mattey and Cripple's round three commentary is both accurate and hilarious.

Terrorist was unfortunately missing DOWNFALL for the third round, but once they switched NL>Trigger to shark it proved the right combination and Dreamwin's squad made an impressive comeback, as the game narrowed to a tight 10-9 affair with both teams less than a minute apart.

In what proved to be the closest game of the series, Baratheon narrowly closed out Terrorist late in the game, edging them out 15:00-12:28 for the title.

Ogron (38-4, 3 Teks) was a rock all three rounds, terring in front of strong play from Zidane (3.0 RPD) and Rodney (2.9 RPD) in shark.

Solace (115-60) continued his domination over TWDT-B with another stellar performance, with M_M God (102-53) and turban (83-60) narrowly edging out over to force a plethora of teks, while Mr. Homo (84-62) and Geio (88-62) were very good under, with some clutch plays and four combined teks.

NL>Trigger and Dreamwin split terrier duties, although NL>Trigger (2.9 RPD) played the majority of the game in shark, showing his insane versatility in basing once again (he won on Terrorist in 2012 and Baratheon in 2013 playing every ship, and is a one-man Swiss army knife), replacing early starter Stung (2.7 RPD) to play alongside hellkite (2.8 RPD).

Stayon (110-49) was unyielding over, giving Baratheon a hard time controlling the top bar, leading Henry Saari (124-66), and Stung over, while Rough (70-59) and Kado (72-62) struggled against Mr. Homo and Geio under.

For the third year in a row we had a great basing final, with Baratheon (2016), Patouf (2015), and Sour Milk (2014) winning 15-13, 20-17, and 20-18 respectively. dun vs me (2011) was close as well, with a 20-19 finish.

The two squads that won blowouts? Terrorist (2012) and Baratheon (2013). Fitting that the two powerhouses should meet in this year's final.

Congrats to Baratheon on clinching the TWDT-B Final!

      HOT: Solace
      HOT: Mr. Homo

Add a star to Baratheon's portrait!

        Finals MVPs

WBs of the Week: vys and Shadowmere
vys was an absolute game-changer, with a key 4-1 sub round one, then a masterful 16-2 performance to lead Paddington to the TWDT-D title. Shadowmere has been a monster in warbird all season, and put up 11-7, 11-3 outings to down Terrorist in style. Kudos!

        Honorable Mention: ROWS
(16-10). ROWS led a ridiculous counter-insurgency against a stacked warbird line, almost taking down the evil empire with a Herculean effort.

        Jav of the Week: Rough
Rough was Robin to Dreamwin's Batman in TWDT-J, putting in strong 15-10, 7-9, 10-8 scores to help earn Terrorist its second javelin title. It's almost enough to make one forget about his ignominious TWLJ Finals round three 0-6. Almost.

        Baser of the Week: Solace
Solace was once again fantastic in the finals, leading Baratheon to the title with 80-45, 104-63, and 115-60 performances alongside Turban (who led the league in teks by almost double with 26 -- including 7 in the finals!) and one of the best pushers in the game in M_M God. Nice work!

        Honorable Mention: NL>Trigger
(46-3). NL put in one of the best terrier performances this year in round two, with a masterful effort that dazzled audiences. Really awesome play!

Players of the Week: Dreamwin and 24
Dreamwin was the #1 jav in the regular season, the #1 jav in the semi-finals, and so it's no surprise that he was the #1 jav in the finals, putting up 14-10, 12-8, 16-7 games to lead his team in winning the TWDT-J title. He also put in a spirited effort down two starters in warbird with a 12-10 near-upset, and a titanic 107-59 in spider to win round two of the TWDT-B Finals, falling just short in the third round. While he wasn't perfect (a 5-10 in wb and some questionable terring), he was easily the best player across all three Finals, and did a fantastic job all season. Excellent!

24 was unstoppable in TWDT-D all season, and that trend continued in the finals, with unrelenting 14-9, 10-2 scores to win the championship. He was stalwart in TWDT-J, winning a crucial 2v2 late in the first round, putting up 14-9, 13-10, 8-10 games in falling just short of winning the jav crown. Great stuff!

          WB of the Week

          Week 1: Ease (15-9).
Ease outdueled Geio in a thrilling 1v1 finale, clinching the W for Silence.

          Week 2: Best (18-9)
Best made his TWDT debut in style, massacring Kamikaze with a legendary performance.

          Week 3: Raazi (15-9)
Raazi stunned a crowd of 50+ onlookers as he took on two Paddington warbirds 1v2 down 48-49, slaying them both and clinching a critical victory for Fire, and wowing spec chat with his superior play. Kudos!

          Week 4: Shadowmere (16-9) and Vys (11-2)
Vys was an absolute monster in helping Baratheon clinch their first TWDT-D victory alongside Best, as the duo trampled over Stark. Shadowmere stomped the Kami with the highest score of the week in a 50-28 romp.

          Week 5: Shadowmere (20-9) and 2pacZ (19-6).
Shadowmere was an absolute monster in warbird once again, clutching a 49-49 game on top of dropping 20 kills. Ridiculous! 2pacZ was unstoppable, keeping Silence undefeated in warbird and dropping the hammer on Kamikaze.

          Week 6: Ardour (16-5)
Ardour singlehandedly took down Silence in TWDT-D with a monster game, ending Ease's streak of 26 straight undefeated regular season games in wb. Wowza!

          Week 7: Kado (13-5) and Attacks (12-5)
Attack of the low-stars this week, as Kado led Terrorist over 6-1 Silence with a sublime performance, while Attacks took over a game vs. Stark. Nice job!

          Quarter-Finals: 24 (17-8) and JAMAL (15-6)
24 was an absolute behemoth in warbird, going completely bananas against Blooms, knocking them out with sizzling 12-4, 17-8 performances. Congrats! JAMAL went supernova on Baratheon, with 10-10, 15-6, 10-10 performances as Stark fell just short of advancing in TWDT-D. Sick play!

          Semi-Finals: Absent (16-7) and 24 (14-7)
Absent singlehandedly clinched a TWDT-D Finals berth for Terrorist with a pair of ridiculous 15-8, 16-7 games in round 2 and round 3 to knock Baratheon out, while 24 was immaculate with 10-2 and 14-7 performances to lead Paddington into the Finals. Kudos!

Finals: vys (16-2) and Shadowmere (11-3)
vys was an absolute game-changer, with a key 4-1 sub round one, then a masterful 16-2 performance to lead Paddington to the TWDT-D title. Shadowmere has been a monster in warbird all season, and put up 11-7, 11-3 outings to down Terrorist in style. Kudos!

          =========================================

          Jav of the Week

          Week 1:Mean Gene (12-3).
MG slammed Blooms in TWDT-J, leading his team to the promised land.

          Week 2: Shaun (18-10)
Shaun was an absolute juggernaut, despite his team getting trounced 50-39, showing the complete repertoire of javelin skills, and likely finding himself on the radar of several TWLJ squads looking to boost their ranks.

          Week 3: Dreamwin (18-7)
Dreamwin gobbled up Paddington in a tight 50-44 match featuring multiple veterans, posting a Herculean effort which was very much needed to come away with the win.

          Week 4: Dreamwin (15-9)
Dreamwin scored a 15-9 to crush Stark in a massacre, leading Terrorist to a 3-0 this week with impressive outings in wb (14-5) and spider (114-48) as well, and could have very easily been the Player of the Week. Nice work!

          Week 5: aprix (12-7) and 24 (12-7).
aprix led Blooms over Terrorist's TWLJ-quality line with icewater in his veins, leading his team in a 50-43 route. 24 did much of the same, MVP'ing over the likes of Ease, Commodo, and Roiwerk to clinch a 50-42 win over Silence's previously undefeated line. Niceness!

          Week 6: Ease (18-9)
Ease reminded everyone why he's the best javelin of all-time, ripping Stark open like a bag of chips, and devouring them whole with a titanic 18-9 game.

          Week 7: Shadowmere (17-10) and hellkite (16-9)
Shadowmere moved heaven and earth to win over Stark, but fell just short, while hellkite curb-stomped Kamikaze in a 50-47 game to get the W.

          Quarter-Finals: Turban (17-10)
Turban was a javing juggernaut this week, taking Stark out with superb 17-10, 10-8 scores. Nice work!

          Semi-Finals: Tiny (13-6) and Rough (13-9)
Tiny led his squad with 13-6 and 11-9 outings to help Paddington reach the TWDT-J Finals, while Rough went 12-9 and 13-9 to take Terrorist to its second jav final. Nice work!

          Finals: Rough (15-10)
Rough was Robin to Dreamwin's Batman in TWDT-J, putting in strong 15-10, 7-9, 10-8 scores to help earn Terrorist its second javelin title. It's almost enough to make one forget about his ignominious TWLJ Finals round three 0-6. Almost.

          =========================================

          Baser of the Week:

Week 1: Cripple (116-39). He got the most amount of kills in the least amount of time this week, leading Stark to a solid victory over Blooms.

Week 2: Mattey (3.1 RPD) and Commodo (3.1 RPD)
For a complete shutdown of a good basing squad, smothering them with a clockwork cram and coming up with a cold-blooded 15-2 win over Kamikaze.

          Week 3: Cripple (161-55)
This was maybe the biggest score in TWDT-B history, and in a 15 minute game no less. Wowza! Stark unfortunately managed to lose the match 15-14, but through no fault of his own, putting up a Colossal performance. Great work!

          Week 4: nosydawg (111-65)
nosydawg managed to outkill the likes of Trasher and Kess in a 15-12 thriller, MVP'ing the game and leading Kamikaze to the upset victory over Fire. Kudos!

          Week 5: Best (104-55)
Best shined in a tough TWDT-B match against a superior opponent, sizzling them for 104 kills when no other player got out of the 80s. Dominant!

          Week 6: Trasher (132-45)
This was an almost must-win game for Fire, and Trasher made the most of a fortuitous zone crash, returning with a vengeance and lighting Silence up for 132 and clinching the W.

Week 7: Mattey (2.9 RPD) and Commodo (2.9 RPD)
The best sharking duo in TWDT right now, they handed basing Behemoth Baratheon their first real loss of the season, and in stunning fashion, absolutely demolishing them 15-8. Yikes!

          Quarter-Finals: Smoking Blue (92-21)
Smoking Blue was a 6-Star monster this week, dropping a scintillating 92-21 in spider to help Blooms advance to the Semi-Finals. Good stuff!

          Semi-Finals: Solace (123-58)
Solace was an absolute monster this week, notching a 123-58, 3 tek game in a hard-fought 15-12 victory, then cruised to a 96-30 in round 2 against a very tough basing squad, as Baratheon reached its second TWDT-B Finals. Congrats!

          Finals: Solace (115-60)
Solace was once again fantastic in the finals, leading Baratheon to the title with 80-45, 104-63, and 115-60 performances alongside Turban (who led the league in teks by almost double with 26 -- including 7 in the finals!) and one of the best pushers in the game in M_M God. Nice work!

          =========================================

          Player of the Week

          Week 1: Dreamwin.
Dreamwin is an idiot and not anywhere near as good at this game as he thinks he is, but he performed across all three leagues this week as Terrorist went 3-0, with a 15-9 in wb, 16-7 in jav, and 105-49 in spider, and earned the Player of the Week.

          Week 2: Ease.
Silence was the only squadron to go 3-0 this week, as Ease led the foray through TWDT-D with a 10-9, TWDT-J with a 15-8, and TWDT-B with an 83-36. While the warbirding match over Fire and basing match over Kamikaze were fait accompli, the javing match required both deft skill and aplomb to navigate and come out with the victory over a TWLJ Finals line featuring both talent and synergy in Stayon, Rough, and Dreamwin, and he came through with flying colors, MVPing the match.

          Week 3: Stayon.
Stayon led Terrorist with a superb 14-4 to knockoff Kamikaze in TWDT-D, a solid 10-8 in TWDT-J versus a recalcitrant Paddington, and a game-high 88-32 over Kamikaze in TWDT-B, as his team went a perfect 3-0 this week, leading the league.

          Week 4: Weak and Commodo
Weak was immaculate in TWDT-D this week, notching a 10-0 ace in warbird over Kamikaze, then following it up with an MVP over Baratheon in TWDT-J, sizzling them with a 14-7 outing, going 2-0 for the week and helping Paddington to a 2-1 performance.

Commodo beasted a hotly contested 50-39 TWDT-J match, amassing a Herculean 15-6 to clinch the W, then managed a 3.0 RPD sharking a 15-4 massacre of Blooms alongside Mattey, going 2-0 for the week and leading Silence to a perfect 3-0.

          Week 5: Turban and Zidane
While Best also managed a 3-0 on his new squad, Turban felt he had something to prove after being traded for the second time this season, taking down the squad that drafted him in two leagues, crushing Fire with a 10-6 in TWDT-D and a scorching 108-35 in TWDT-B when no one else was even close to 90, while stomping Kamikaze in TWDT-J in-between.

Zidane was also instrumental in leading Baratheon to its first 3-0 week, notching a 10-5 in warbird, a 13-6 in javelin, and a 3.0 RPD in shark as the 4x TWLJ Champion expands his already impressive resumé to all three leagues. Kudos!

          Week 6: Shadowmere
Shadowmere has been knocking on the door of Player of the Week for several weeks now, leading his squadron to a 6-0 over a fortnight (alongside Weak and 24, as the trio have been producing across all three leagues), including ridiculous 16-9, 20-9 scores in TWDT-D Weeks 4 and 5. He produced a balanced effort this week, with a game-high 13-9 in TWDT-D vs. Terrorist, an incisive 9-8 in TWDT-J vs. a recalcitrant Blooms, and a 48-13 terrier performance in TWDT-J in a stunning 15:00-14:41 upset in TWDT-B. Kudos!

          Week 7: Mythril
Mythril did everything humanly possible to will Fire into the playoffs, dropping a massive team-high 16-7 in TWDT-D, a team-high 9-10 in a tough loss in TWDT-J, and sharking his team to a 15:00-14:31 against 7-0 Terrorist with a recalcitrant 2.9 RPD. His never give up, never surrender attitude is what competition is all about. Kudos.

          Quarter-Finals: Shadowmere and Zidane
Shadowmere put in a solid performance in TWDT-D, going 9-10 and 10-8 to knock out Blooms in two rounds, then went absolutely fucking bonkers in TWDT-J against a top-tier javelin line, going 19-7, 10-10, and 14-10 to help Paddington advance to the Semi-Finals by the narrowest of margins. Zidane put in an all around spectacular effort across all three leagues, going 14-10, 8-10, 9-10 in warbird, 10-7, 15-8 in javelin, and a stalwart 3.0 and 3.1 RPD performance in shark, to help lead Baratheon to a perfect 3-0 week. Kudos!

          Semi-Finals: Dreamwin and Zidane
Dreamwin led his squad to a perfect 3-0 this week, with 8-10, 11-8, 8-6 performances in TWDT-D, 9-9, 15-8 outings in TWDT-J, and showing his versatility with a 35-2 in terr and 70-34 in spider in TWDT-B, as Terrorist reached all 3 finals. Zidane's squad only reached one final, but he was singular in his efforts to help Baratheon, going 10-7, 13-10, and 7-10 in warbird, 12-10 and 15-10 in javelin, and taking out a titanic basing squad and top-tier sharking duo with 3.1 and 3.0 RPD performances in shark to knock out Silence. Epic!

          Finals: Dreamwin and 24
Dreamwin was the #1 jav in the regular season, the #1 jav in the semi-finals, and so it's no surprise that he was the #1 jav in the finals, putting up 14-10, 12-8, 16-7 games to lead his team in winning the TWDT-J title.

            9. Racketeer (Stark)
Racketeer had a great season on a bad warbird squad, putting up good numbers all season long.

            10. vys (Paddington)
vys didn't show up often, but when he did, the impact was pronounced, as he finished the season 31-5, including a 16-2 Finals MVP.

Honorable Mentions: Attacks (Paddington), Best (Paddington), Turban (Baratheon), Siaxis (Paddington), Absent (Terrorist), maketso (Blooms), Kado (Terrorist), AFRI (Baratheon), Tripin (Silence), JAMAL (Stark).

            Top 10 Javelins

            1. Dreamwin (Terrorist)
Dreamwin absolutely dominated TWDT-J at every stage of the competition, and was head and shoulders above everyone else, with a blistering 159-101 record, going 15, 14, 12, 16 across the Semi-Finals and Finals to win the title.

            2. 24 (Paddington)
24 tore up javelin, with a 159-132 statline, with rock solid scores every week and great play, leading his team to the finals and MVPing multiple rounds.

            3. aprix (Blooms)
aprix was the second best javelin after Dreamwin during the regular season, leading an extremely talented jav line to the Quarter-Finals, narrow losing a round 50-46 round three score, and were every bit a contender thanks to his play.

            4. Shadowmere (Paddington)
Shadowmere was electric all season, dropping a league-high 19 kills during the Quarter-Finals and tallying a 150-118 record, taking Paddington to the TWDT-J Finals.

            5. Zidane (Baratheon)
Zid beasted his way into the Semi-Finals despite not being on a great jav team, going 117-90, putting up 12-10, 15-10 scores in defiance in the Semi-Finals as Baratheon was downed by the eventual champions.

            6. Rough (Terrorist)
Rough went 133-104 and was the second best jav on Terrorist this season, helping them win the title with good play all year.

            7. Roiwerk (Silence)
Roi's outstanding play in TWDT-J during the regular season helped Silence clinch a bye to the Semi-Finals, and played great throughout.

            8. Stayon (Terrorist)
The third head of the three-headed Ceberus that won the title, Stayon was solid all season, accumulating a 113-83 record.

            9. Shaun (Fire)
Shaun was a firebrand for Cres's team, going 8, 18, 11, 15, 12, 8 during the regular season and almost helping them clinch a playoff spot with his stellar play.

            10. maketso (Blooms)
maketso went 96-85, pushing Paddington to the limit in the Quarter-Finals alongside Aprix and Amnesti, as the trio were great all year.

Honorable Mention: Tiny (Paddington), Ease (Silence), Trasher (fire), JAMAL (Stark), Weak (Paddington), Commodo (Silence), Amnesti (Blooms) Turban (Baratheon), Wax (Baratheon).

            Top 20 Basers:

            1. Solace (Baratheon)
Solace led the most fearsome overspider trio in the league alongside Turban and M_M God, combining for 48 teks. He averaged a sizzling 121 kills per game, and was #1 in the league in plus-minus, finishing with +60 minutes.

            2. Zidane (Baratheon)
Zidane clinched his first TWDT-B title with stalwart sharking alongside Rodney, averaging a 3.0 RPD the entire season while simultaneously reaping absolute havok behind enemy lines with a calvalcade of mines. Baratheon's cram was a thing of beauty.

            3. Stayon (Terrorist)
Stayon won the basing title last year, and fell just 150 seconds short of back-to-back championships, with a blistering 123 kills per game and formidable presence in the flagroom.

            4. Mattey (Silence)
Mattey and Commodo were the best shark duo in TWDT-B this year, obliterating the champs 15-7 in the regular season, but falling just short in the Semi-Finals, despite a recalcitrant effort, clockwork timing, and vicious punishing of enemy openings.

            5. NL>Trigger (Terrorist)
NL>Trigger was fantastic in every ship he played, with 114 kills per game in spider, a 2.9 RPD in shark, and a mesmerizing 46-3 terr performance in the finals to go with his 19-0 in the Semis. The best 3-shipper in the zone, he reached his fifth TWDT-B finals, having already won with Terrorist and Baratheon in previous years.

            6. Turban (Baratheon)
Turban is a pushing god, plain and simple. He led the entire league with 26 Teks. 26!!! The next closest spider has 14. Like Rodman grabbing rebounds, his value isn't always easily visible, but maybe his second TWDT-B title will serve as a reminder to those who would doubt his basing ability.

            7. Cripple (Stark)
Cripple was a dominatrix in a spider suit, punishing squad after squad with ridiculous spider scores, including a 161-55 game Week 3, which might be the world record for the most kills in TWDT-B game. He led the league with a seismic 137 kills per game, and was completely unstoppable -- except for better teams taking out his. That is a limitation of being 1/8th of your squad.

            8. Ease (Silence)
Fresh off a TWLB title, Ease continued his hot play in spider, leading a rapacious Silence team to the Semi-Finals with a thunderous 116 kills per game while leading their enviable over alongside pavement and wbm.

            9. Dreamwin (Terrorist)
Dreamwin had one of the best performances of the season in spider in round two of the Finals, but was a juggernaut the rest of the season as well, with a red-hot 133 kills per game. I'm not a fan of his terring, however, and I think it holds him back a bit in these rankings. Flashy, aggro plays look good, but percentage-wise they don't pan out in the long run.

            10. Trasher (Fire)
Trasher was a beast as usual in spider, despite being on a non-playoff team. With a 113 kills per game average and big play ability, he helped make Fire competitive, taking Terrorist to 14:30 and beating several other squads.

            11. Commodo (Silence)
Commodo had a very strong season in shark, forming the top duo with Mattey, taking Silence to the semi-finals with great timing and smart play.

            12. M_M God (Baratheon)
M_M God is one of the best pushers in the game, and in combination with Turban, they led the league in teks. Add his 14 teks with a 106 kills per game average and relentless pressure on enemy terrs, and you have a juggernaut.

            13. pavement (Silence)
pavement made a great comeback to the game, smoking fools with 116 kills per game and teaming up with Ease to take Silence to the Semi-Finals, where they put up a strong fight against the champs.

            14. JAMAL (Stark)
JAMAL has already won TWLB and TWDT-B multiple times, but that hasn't stopped him from continuing to make enemy sharks and spiders' lives a nightmare, averaging 120 kills per game and reaching the Quarter-Finals.

            15. DOWNFALL (Terrorist)
DF had a strong season as the best shark on Terrorist, taking down Blooms in the Semi-Finals and narrowly falling to Baratheon in the Finals. Smart reps, aggressive bombs, and lethal shrap are all the hallmarks of DOWNFALL.

            16. Tiduz (Silence)
Tiduz was singular in terrier this season, going 25-0, 43-6, and 51-3 over the champs, giving Silence the look of a TWDT-B title team. Then he trolled them by not showing for the playoffs. gg.

            17. porkjet (Stark)
Last year's TWDT-B and TWLB champion was excellent once again this year, with some of the best shrap aim in the game, and a steady flow of 2.7 reps per death, helping his team to the Quarters.

            18. wbm (Silence)
In one of his most complete seasons yet, wbm shined for Silence, with hard-pushing and smart plays, helping take them to the Semis with a 107 kills per game.

            19. hellkite (Terrorist)
While it seems a shame to waste such a beast of a spider in shark, he played it well, with a very aggressive style that got them to the Finals.

            20. Mr. Homo (Baratheon)
Mr. Homo had a breakout season in spider, dominating under all season as a low-star and helping Baratheon clinch its second TWDT-B title. New spiders take note: under is the place to go. There isn't a lot of competition, you avoid complex interactions with sharks and who to prioritize and it simplifies your actions and limits your decision tree, making it easier to master and immediately contribute to your team.

Honorable Mention: Okyo (Blooms), Mikkiz (Fire), Rodney (Baratheon), Henry Saari (Terrorist), Kado (Terrorist), Holy Ship (Paddington), Rasaq (Silence), Geio(Baratheon), Oder (Blooms), Dwopple (Blooms), Hulk (Stark), Stung (Terrorist)

                  Closing Comments

Thanks to everyone for participating in TWDT this season, and congratulations to Dreamwin's Terrorist, Tiny's Paddington, and Stannis's Baratheon on winning TWDT-J, TWDT-D, and TWDT-B, respectively. Terrorist had the best season out of all eight teams, winning the regular season, reaching all three finals, and taking home a championship. Paddington was a close second, finishing third during the regular season, reaching two finals, and winning a title, while Baratheon finished fifth, making one final, and winning a championship.

Commodo's Silence, along with Terrorist, was one of the two best squads all year across all three leagues, earning a bye into the Semi-Finals after a second-place finish during the regular season. A series of unfortunate events caused them to lose their #1 seed and created some tough Semis matchups, and that bye can sometimes be a curse with that two-week hiatus, and they surprisingly failed to reach the Finals despite a terrific season and Commodo winning two of the three titles last year.

Mean Gene's Stark had a strong finish to the season, climbing back to fourth, but were eliminated in the Quarter-Finals. Despite some drama they reached the playoffs with ease, and had a very strong season in javelin and some success in base as well. Maketso's Blooms had terrible luck all season, but they kept at it, and grinded out some wins in warbird and base, but where they really shined was jav, where they were serious contenders for the title, narrowly losing to Paddington, ending their only realistic path to a title.

Cres's Fire duked it out with Blooms for the final playoff spots for several weeks near the end of the season, but a brutal TWDT-B schedule did them in, despite having a very good basing line. They had some strong pieces in warbird, but Raazi's inactivity and inconsistent play held them back from really flourishing.

Skatarius's Kamikaze was an unmitigated disaster, and finished dead last by a significant margin.

The race for the final playoff spot was exciting, the Paddington/Blooms TWDT-J quarter-final match was amazing, Cripple broke the record for most kills in a TWDT-B game Week 3, Shadowmere hit 20 and 19 kills in several games, the jav Final between Paddington and Terrorist was epic, Dreamwin demolished the league in javelin to the point where normalizing his rating to 100 means no one else hits 70, Paddington had three 50-49 warbird games that had audiences mesmerized, the basing final between Baratheon and Terrorist was awesome and the audio commentary even better, and a bunch of newer players like Kado and Mr. Homo had breakout seasons, putting them on the radar for TWL, among many other great moments.

Hopefully most of you had fun and enjoyed the competition and the Hot or Nots.

                  -Claus
