Week 2 of TWDT-B continued the trends set in week 1: Power won both of their games as did the surprise underdog Alf, while the shambolic Paladin (0-2) and underperforming Baratheon (0-3) got whooped. Dreamwin’s Terrorist went 1-1 while Attacks’s Brexit won 2 of their 3 games.
In the free agency draft Delectable’s Alf snatched up the perennial Portuguese puta spider Stayon, considerably strengthening their basing line-up. It is quite possible, however, that this won’t mean much, as Kess claims Stayon won’t be showing in the future.
Dreamwin’s Terrorist gained Mikkiz in terrier and Attacks’s Brexit obtained both Ease and Skatarius in spider.
Paladin got a decent shark in 24, but that likely won’t matter at all since their core of inactive Dice basers aren’t showing, and Jessup traded their best baser Spezza <DSB> to Baratheon.
Power picked up the pushy M_M God for spider and ?go base shark legend Ephemeral.

Magnum Size gave a valiant effort in terrier in this doomed struggle of survival and only died 13 times, while Vehicle got himself carelessly killed twice. Jessup and Eavenly were no match for veterans Zidane and Ephemeral in shark, but at least they tried.

Terrier veteran Warportal outkilled current TWLB champion Pressure by 3 kills while both died 4 times. McVicar spent some time in shark with Commodo before he was apparently switched with Pat B. Omega Red and GLYDE did not get to shark this time around. Beasty and Mythril played quite well according to the stats, which is a bit of a surprise – perhaps Brexit just did not apply enough pressure for them to crack (like Attacks’s teeth).
Spiders all played decently, at least based on the scores, though I expected more from omega red and turban. No doubt their less-than-impressive records are just the result of selfless pushing for the greater good of the team.
HOT: Rab (103-35, 1 tek). Most kills, deserves the HOT.
NOT: Attacks (28-26). Perhaps you should practise a bit in pub.

Cripple and Spezza, 2 of the best spiders in the game, put up impressive numbers, but their team still lost by 41 kills to a spider line that was missing Terrorist captain Dreamwin.
Mikkiz, fresh from the free agency, scored 4 terrier kills against Ogron, and was most likely instrumental in this victory.
HOT: Cripple (137-68). Outkilled everyone once again.
NOT: Holy Ship (77-77). Rec isn’t everything, but 1:1 in spider is pretty bad. Join Attacks in pub.

Ease and McVicar padded their stats a bit in spider while everyone else afked.
Magnum Size was unable to repeat his good performance in terrier from earlier and was slain 19+2 times, while Paladin shark eavenly posted an impressive 1.8 rpd.

Dwopple is attending the same Dice convention as WBM, Sphinx, Mohammed and Oderus, and was therefore unable to show for the 2nd week in a row, leaving mr. homo (who has apparently attended the same shark school as WillBy) to partner with WAR.
Warportal was evidently somewhat successfully able to portal away from Mikkiz’s bursts.

Kentaro and Holy Ship were apparently too heavy for even Cripple and Spezza to put on their shoulders. Power’s free agency pick M_M God (most expensive TWLM spider of all time), kindly shielded Trasher, who was camping behind him.
Vehicle played terrier for the 4th time this tournament and put up a meagre score of 25-5 against Ogron’s 36-13 – 3 of those 25 kills were TeKs, however.

This match was replayed when the pernicious Porkjet was unable to play last week. He was apparently uninterested and unmoved by the plight of his team and left them to fend for themselves once again this week, personally responsible for Baratheon’s 0-4 basing record.
Ease was the only spider to reach 100 kills in this match, which inconsequently happened to also be the amount that Baratheon was outkilled by. Fellow free agency pickup Skatarius reached 91 kills, with McVicar, Pat B and Iron Survivor trailing far behind. On Baratheon, Cripple and Spezza struggled to combat the limeys and put up a weak fight ahead of Kentaro, Banks and Holy Ship.
Pressure died only twice compared to Ogron’s 13, which I’m sure he will utilize in their never-ending feud.
HOT: Commodo (35-65, 3 tks, 2 teks, 3.0 rpd). With only Markymarkmorrow and Willby standing in his way, MHZ racked up 35 kills in shark. Yikes!
HOT: Pressure (31-2, 2 teks). Nothing spectacular, but let’s give some credit.
HOT: Attacks for picking up 2 great basers in the free agency to carry in this game.

NOT: Holy Ship (52-62). Unlike I previously recommended, shooting at asteroids in a private arena might be in order before we upgrade you to pub with Attacks.

Comment
