GAME 1
Terrorist vs Criminal
50-41
This game showcased two powerhouse warbird teams that could have been contenders for a deep run on paper. However, Terrorist took the first strike with vys leading the way with a solid 14-7 and captain DWTrain complimenting nicely with a 13-9 and sidekick Eria 12-9. Criminal kept the game reasonably close with three players at the minimum breaking even, but afghaN's decision of running a 8-6 rather than a 7-7 proved too detrimental to the overall scoreline.
Hot: vys (14-7), dreamwin (13-9), Sprackle (12-9)
Not: Jebass (2-10), Wirah (5-9)
Halo vs Pure Luck
50-35
Quite a one-sided game, as Halo took the lead in this game and never looked back, with four players all logging positive recs (lookin at you Rough XD). Flew (13-6) and Tripin (12-7) collaborated well together, bringing back their teamwork from Mist into the new season. However, 6* dark horse Israeli proved to be the surprise, logging in a whopping 15-8 and capturing the MVP. On the other side...captain Tiny (11-10) was the only member to go + in a team that lacked their main force in Attacks. It really doesn't help that your other 9* in Ricko goes a sub-par 6-10 either.
Hot: Entire Halo team minus one individual
Not: Shadowmere (5-10), Ricko (6-10), Rough (0-6)
Treyway vs Power
50-44
Things were looking bleak for Treyway at the start of the game, where the team found themselves in a quick 10+ point deficit. However, trapped (15-10) maintained his cool and proved to be the beacon of light, as this team gradually found the cohesion and teamwork to claw back into the game and pull out the victory. Myollnir (13-8) proved to be a helpful support alongside Kira (10-9). Personally, I felt that collectively Power's team played very well so I don't understand the move of subbing Alextron out at 5-6. This move did not pay dividends, as Power soon collapsed and couldn't get the job done.
Hot: trapped (15-10), Myollnir (13-8), Ogron (13-10)
Not: morph (4-9), zidane (1-4)
Demacia vs Spider
35-50
Previous letdown Ardour (12-6) bounced back with a vengeance, logging in a scoreline of 2:1 (with 4 KOs!) to prove that he not only can pull out the games in the yellow ship. All together collectively, this was a brillant showcase of teamwork as the Demacians felt firsthand the lethality of venom's bite. Trasher (11-10) and Lockdown (even) did the best they could, but the rest of the team negged and proved too much to claw back.
Hot: Ardour (12-6), Viop (11-7)
Not: wbm (1-6), Jessup (3-10)
GAME 2
Terrorist vs Halo
45-50
A game between two hot starters boiled down to the very end, with Halo being able to narrowly edge out Terrorist to earn a 2-0 start Week 1. Stars from both sides (Flew, vys) started slow but both fought tooth and nail to the very end. Zapata (16-8) continued to be a strong pillar for the angelic squad, carrying his weight and then some. Although several individuals recorded sub-par records, most KOs were past 15+ minutes, so imo it was a very well fought battle all around.
Hot: Zapata (16-8), dreamwin (15-10)
Not: Israeli (3-10), maketso (4-10)
Treyway vs Criminal
50-46
Treyway started out strong, continuing that newfound cohesion to team and work together. Substitute uprise came in for morph and provided enough stability for the rest of the team. However, Criminal almost stole the game away towards the end with spectacular duo play between Geio and RaCka. beam did his best in acting as two players in one ship to carry Mercede$, but just fell slightly short.
Hot: beam (17-10), Paky Dude (13-8)
Not: Mercede$ (1-10)
Demacia vs Pure Luck
48-50
Another game that came down to the wire. Tiny's leading wb pick Attacks (11-9) finally showed up and proved to be instrumental, as he and Shadowmere (16-9) edged out a fantastic effort by Trasher (17-10) to earn their first win.
Hot: Trasher (17-10), Shadowmere (16-9), Attacks (11-9)
Not: Jessup/greenman (combined 3-10)
Spider vs Power
40-50
Power remained unfazed by their previous game collapse, putting together a great team effort to take the W over Spider. Every player logged a balanced scoreline, and they look to carry this momentum forward into Week 2. Aprix (13-10) put in a commendable effort, but received little support from the rest of his team.
Hot: Aprix (13-10), Power team collectively
Not: nowon (4-10), Violence (7-10)
