Few close and exciting games this week, which also (as you know) significantly affects the course of the FA draft.
GAME 1
Terrorist vs Demacia
50-39
Game gone exactly like it should have on paper, even though Terrorist had a slight hiccup at the start with captain dreamwin coming in late. Previous warbird MVP vys finally began to show some of that influence in Week 3, starting out with a strong 6-2 to lead the way. And as the famous saying goes, "When you don't succeed, try, try again!" Wirah stepped up to provide the necessary support to his 10* to earn the MVP this game with 3 KOs. Entering late did not seem to faze DWTrain, as he provided a great third string score. Demacia was unfortunately plagued with poor performances from Alextron and Scurvy, and even a more abysmal one by greenman. Poni did the best he could with what he was given (1 death lol), but Lockdown and Trasher could not bring the game back. Iron a no-show, ew.
Hot: vys (12-7), Wirah (12-7), dreamwin (10-5)
Not: greenman (0-5), Alextron (5-10), Major Crisis (5-10)
Spider vs Treyway
36-50
The score here actually falsely portrays how close this game really was. nowon was out within 5 minutes, and Ardour had a horrific game. Mikkiz surprisingly silently logged in 13 kills, which is quite impressive given the state of the overall game and the condition of his teammates. Only captain Mhz also managed to at least break even, but other than that...they got absolutely slapped. Note: how the fuck did Paky Dude end up -? LOL. Side note recognition to Kira for stepping up from last week.
Hot: Mikkiz (13-10), Kira (11-5), Myollnir (10-4)
Not: Ardour (2-10), nowon (5-10)
Power vs Halo
50-39
The warbird game of the week started with Power surging ahead for an early lead, thanks to hot starts from both Zidane (5-1) and okyo (6-1). And as previous experiences have clearly shown, the difference of not having the need to play a 6* made quite the impact, as tj/Anonym contributed tremendously to the overall total score Halo lost by in the very end. Better luck next time, chaps.
Hot: okyo (15-7), ro (12-9)
Not: tj/Anonym (combined 1-10)
Pure Luck vs Criminal
35-50
This resulted was one of them games where a 10* pops off while the opposing team couldn't contain him enough to take the victory. RaCka absolutely steamrolled through the leprechauns, logging in 3 KOs. Ricko and Shadowmere did the best they could to keep the game under control, but having played a 6* in Hellrazor...less than ideal result. Pure Luck managed to keep the game close up until when the score was around the mid 20s...and then RaCka took off.
Hot: RaCka (19-6)
Not: Hellrazor (2-10)
Game 2
Terrorist vs Pure Luck
50-24
Game was nothing short of disgusting, as Terrorist nabbed the early advantage led by their star vys 4-0 start and never looked back. Actually really not much to say here, as the game ended within 9 minutes. Even maketso played like he belonged in any top-tier warbird lineup. Slap.
Hot: Entire Terrorist lineup
Not: Tiny (1-10), Henry Saari (1-6)
Criminal vs Power
49-50
One of two nailbiter games today, the game found itself tied around 45-45 with all the power hitters on either side slugging it out. As members on both sides continued to fall, zidane came up with a big KO on RaCka in a 2v1 to leave him 1v1 versus big mouth beamir with advantage on Power. And as a captain says and a captain does, zidane managed to make the big play and seize the W for Power to log another 2-0 in warbird for the week. Unfortunate that beamir cant back up his big mouth with his big plays, sadly.
Hot: Ogron (15-10), zidane (11-9)
Not: Beast (4-10)
Halo vs Spider
50-28
In another blowout, Halo made short work of Spider who were victims to a previous beating by Treyway. Fueled by a loss to Power the previous game, captain cripple decided to make some adjustments and step in himself. This proved helpful to give much needed support to Flew, as Zapata for whatever reason couldn't be played this week and Tripin had a relatively quiet two games.
Hot: cripple (13-7), Flew (12-5)
Not: aprix (3-10), nowon (4-10)
Treyway vs Demacia
50-48
A game that should have been one-sided on paper turned out to be a thriller throughout. Captain Nipple Nibbler opened the eyes of many people, logging in a staggering 12-6 to make up for Poni's performance. He and Trasher attempted to make up for the shortcomings of Alextron, Poni, and a sub-par performance from Lockdown, but fell slightly short as trapped and Myollnir narrowly edged Trasher out to earn the win. Applauses all around for players from both sides who tried their heart out to make it exciting and very close.
Hot: Myollnir (15-9), Trasher (15-10), Nipple Nibbler (12-6)
Not: Alextron (1-5), Poni (1-4)
WEEK 3 MVP: Myollnir (10-4) (15-9)
Mention:
vys (12-7) (13-5)
RUNNING MVP Counter:
Week 1: Zapata
Week 2: Ogron
Week 3: Myollnir
