I enjoyed it a lot, not as much as X8 (which I was at) but it was a solid card with one exception. The Lesnar Goldberg match was so bad it defied belief. It was withotu a doubt the worst match I have ever seen. I mean, if the crowd who bought hundred dollar tickets to come see you had already gone through 2 "this match sucks" chants in the first 4 minutes, you're doing somethign really wrong.

Glad to see the Edge video and that he'll be back soon. Was great to see the entire Undertaker - Kane match + opening, even if they dusted off Paul Bearer. Also enjoyed the twist on the Jericho/Christian feud, even if I saw it coming. About time to give props to the former radicals turned champions Gurerro and Benoit.

What did you think of the card, the event, the horrible boos Pete Rose got?

well when you can overcome your silly fear of lookign the slightest bit homosexual, give it a shot. I still find it fun to watch every once in awhile. Not often though, but it is wrestlemania, you gotta watch that (if you like wrestling)

It was good....only thing i didnt like was the back stab by trish :P (CLW) and Benoit winning instead of HBK :P (that and Goldberg Vs. Lesnar.....but i can understand WHY they would do that in a real life situation...but it got good once they got fighting :P)

I didn't get to see it myself, so I'm relying on TSN.ca's review of the card for this. I was supposed to go to a friend's house to watch it, but something came up and I had to miss it.

I'm surprised to hear that HHH actually tapped out to Benoit. His political influences tend to keep him from losing cleanly, much less from submission. I thought Michaels was going to win, setting up a match between him and Benoit for the next PPV, which would have Benoit going in as a challenger in Edmonton, his home town.

I've bet against Undertaker in previous Wrestlemanias, only to find his perfect streak intact. He was a sure thing to win this one though, and I think we might be getting close to the end of his career with this reincarnation of his dead man gimmick. He should go out like this, not as the motorcycle riding "Big Evil".

Eddie Guerrero's idea to loosen his boot for Angle's ankle lock was brilliant scripting. It's great that he and Benoit hold both heavyweight titles. They were underrated stars for years.

If the rumours of Brock wanting to leave wrestling for a football tryout are true, then I'm not surprised at the way that match ended. The way this match ended so quickly would be a classic example of McMahon burning someone in their final match before leaving the company. The feud was good on paper, but with Goldberg "suspended" the last couple of weeks (in other words, filming a movie) taking away a lot of the momentum. I didn't expect much of a classic in this one.

The Rock n' Sock vs Evolution match was a surprise too. I expected the good guys to win this one, leading to a one on one rematch win for Orton next month. Maybe a rematch is still in the works, but with Foley getting the win. I wouldn't be surprised if that one was a Hell in the Cell, but I'm not sure if Foley's body is ready for the strains of that kind of match after so much time off.

The Trish turn was a surprise. I didn't think Jericho would have got a win and a happy ending afterwards, because he and Trish would become just like one of those couples you see in high school were together so often you gave them a nickname that combined both their names, like Chrish, or something. I told my brother this morning that I thought Edge might appear in this match and help Christian get the win, but this ending makes for a better storyline.

I would have loved to see the Evening gown match. I would not have loved to see Molly Holly getting her head shaved.

yeah tk game lost fair and square - but benoit had him int he crossface for at LEAST a minute and a half before he did.

I loved the boot too.

Why would Lesnar, a man on the verge of getting signed to the big time contracts (liek millions a year) try out for the nfl where he wouldn't make as much? FUCK lesnar.

oh yeah - they honoured some of the past greats and i thoguht the applause were depresingly quiet. Pete rose got booed into the ground though.

Actually, he'd probably still make just as much. Don't forget, he's still relatively new to wrestling so his contract isn't likely to be worth that much. Plus, the NFL season is much shorter so he gets more personal off time.

Yeah he gets time off and all that, but lesnar was in a position to become the new #1 like Stone cold and Rock have been. Those are HUGE contracts.

Worst Match EVER : Goldberg vs Lesnar. I was laughing my ass off when the crowd was chanting "this match sucks" and "boooring, boooring". Vince had to come out after that match and talk to the crowd thanking them for coming just so they didn't get all pissed and walk out.

Tag Team 4 Way Matches: RVD and Booker T win the Raw titles back. Rikishi and Scotty-2-Hotty win the Smackdown titles back. They were basically just your normal tag matches. They have the normal tagging in, and at the end the place turns into chaos with everyone in the ring beating the crap outta eachother on the outside as well.

Cruiserweight Elimination Match: Chavo got his title back by pinning Rey Mysterio with the help of his dad holding on to Chavo for leverage on the pinfall. Had lots of exciting high flying moves, I just hate Chavo, so yeah. That sucked at the end.

US Title Match: John Cena doing his raps against the Big Show at the beginning is always funny to me. IT was basically a david vs Goliath match. What I thought was amazing is that John Cena picked up the Show for not 1 but 2 FU's. I mean, the Show is huge and it musta taken alot out of Cena to pick him up like that. Cena won by socking Show in the face with his brass nucks.

3 on 2 Handicap Match: I thought it was cool to see the Rock back in action, because he's this big Hollywood star now. Mick, he looks like the WWE just puts him into matches just to have him get his ass kicked by Evolution. And Flair, I dunno how old he is, but he hasn't lost a step. I'm really suprised in how well he handles in the ring. I woulda like to have seen the Rock and Sock win that one, but like TK said, this is probably a setup for the next PPV and continuing the feud between Evolution and Mick Foley.

Playboy Evening Gown Match: This was basically a filler match for the guys. Girls 1/2 naked throwing eachother around. Good times. I forgot who won that one.

The Grudge Match between Christian and Jericho was a good one. Trish took a heel turn to be on the side of Christian, so look for them 3 to get into some altercations in the future, probably culminating to some big cage or ladder match at the next PPV. If you saw in between that match and the next, they had a promo running for Edge's return. He'll probably have some sort of involvment between the two (maybe the return of Edge and Christian).

Smackdown WWE Title: This was an awesome match of both Eddie and Angle just throwing it down like they know how to. Just suplexes and submission holds. Alot of technical stuff. I loved the ending where Eddie kicked off his shoe to get out of the Angle Anklelock. Brilliant, lol. Eddie is the champ, still.

Raw World Title: This was an awesome triple threat matchup. I was hoping for a bloody match with table broken and stuff, and thats what I got. I loved the double suplex onto the Smackdown announce table. (lol, usually they always break the Spanish announcer table). Near the end, it looked like HBK and HHH were gonna be the final two, but Benoit came back and got HHH in the Crossface for a clean tap-out. Then Eddie came out and they had the emotional finish (crowd goes "awwww")

My favorite match of the night had to go to the return of the Dead Man, the Undertaker. He had the HAT, and Paul Bearer! OMG! It was total classic Undertaker. They cheesed it up with the men in robes and flaming torches lighting up the ramp way for the big return. But, I thought it was appropriate to really bring back the feeling of the dark side of the Taker. And it looks like they are allowing the tombstone piledriver again (Classic Undertaker finisher). Because, if you remember, Owen Hart almost paralyzed Stone Cold Steve Austin with a Piledriver gone wrong, and since then, the WWE banned the use of that move. And yes, as TK was thinking, This will the the Undertaker's last run for the title til he hangs up his wrestling boots for the last time. Look in the future for the Taker to get the WWE Title back.

All in all, this was a fantastic Wrestlemania (... except for Goldberg vs Lesnar, haha)
