BUSH ALLOWS GAYS TO BE FIRED FOR BEING GAY

Despite President Bush's pledge that homosexuals "ought to have the same
rights" (1) as all other people, his Administration this week ruled that
homosexuals can now be fired from the federal workforce because of their
sexual orientation.

According to the Federal Times, the president's appointee at the Office of
Special Counsel ruled that federal employees will now "have no recourse if
they are fired or demoted simply for being gay." (2) While the Bush
Administration says it is legally prohibited from firing a person for their
conduct, they have the legal right to fire or demote someone based on their
sexual orientation. To carry out the directive, the White House has begun
removing information from government websites about sexual orientation
discrimination in the workplace. (3)

Not only does the new directive contradict the president's own promise to
treat homosexuals as equals under the law, but it also contradicts what the
Administration told Congress. As noted in a bipartisan letter from four
Senators to the Administration, "During the confirmation process [of the
president's appointee], you assured us that you were committed to protecting
federal employees against unlawful discrimination related to their sexual
orientation." (4)

I didn't see this subject being exposed by any other media, so I guess it's all fake(well, that's great if it is). Sorry for my naivety . The website first looked serious to me but I shouldn't always base myself on appearances. Before posting this, I didn't take the time to think neither if it was real or not; I apologize for that.

even if it was legitimate, the bias of the report is obvious Despite the heavily biased player stealing his name from them, spinsanity.org is a decent site for articles about current news events. It's really easy to buy into either a liberal or conservative mideset and point and laugh at everything else like a tool without acctaully considering opposing points. Infact thanks to mass media (I bet the daily show has more influence then CNN), it's basicly what the majoirty of people go by. It's nice to a ballanced spread of articles in one site.

1) It's called the Daily Misleader because the goal of the website is to chronicle any misleading statements by President Bush (found from their who we are page) not because their articles are necessarily misleading. Although, I'm sure they can be.

i don't see anything that Bush has done that was worse than what clinton did. at least there hasn't been any mysterious deaths of white house officials during this administration...just shut up about it, and be happy that Bush has helped bring our economy back up. and I don't want to hear any 'bullshit he killed our economy' crap... look at the statistics...the nasdaq is up 30% since may 2003... unemployment is down 8%...

as for the gay marriages thing...and his stance on it... i hate how this has become such a huge issue... but I hardly believe the President would say something like that...you have to be completely stupid and absent of logic to believe that...

also... this whole issue of them not doing anything about bin laden before hand...
