It doesn't matter if they are different operating systems. If you have the hard-drive with the game on it plugged into your new computer, it will be just like having an extra drive. Start the new computer up with the old hard drive in it, go to My Computer and copy the files across.
You could connect them using a LAN, but that is alot more work than swapping the hard-drive.
Unless you have some kind of portable drive like a Zip, I don't think there is much else you can do.

You have to make sure the jumpers on the back on the harddrive are set correctly. If you look at the back of it, there is a little thing of pins and 1-2 little plastic thingies on them. Your best bet would be to set it to "Cable Select" which is I believe "CS" on the little map. You just take out the little plastic thingies and rearrange them the way it says.
Also, you have to make sure it is booting from the right HD. You would do that through the BIOS.
If not, when you boot up the PC it should say something like "Press Delete to enter BIOS". Press that button then and look through there. If you don't see anything just press Delete a few times when your computer is first starting up. Then go into the harddrive things and see if it shows 2 hard drives, one should be slave and one should be master.sdg
