It's like warcraft but for sci fi dorks.

Secret of mana was so much better than chrono trigger. Chrono trigger was one of my least favorite SNES RPG's.

The only people that would like Chrono Trigger better are those people who don't have any friends, guys like mattey.

Actually, Paul, I wasn't comparing them to a record company. I wasn't (in that post) even saying Starcraft was ass. Rather, I was saying "Just because something is popular, doesn't mean it is good." And I stand by that assertion, though rereading my examples I realize they are less than perfect. The big money, the longevity, and the copies sold are not necessarily related to the quality of the game.

Halo's a good game, but Starcraft is the most selling PC of all time, and that's saying something. 3 years after its release it was still in the top 5 (sometimes number 1 spot) for best selling game of the month.
Im still regretting selling my copy of starcraft back to EB...damn those sneaky bastards....

Ok, so now it's Half-Life vs. Metroid Prima, and Metroid Prime is ahead in the poll...
As of right now, I refuse to take this entire contest seriously.
          There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Starcraft is a real time strategy made by the same people who made the Warcraft series, Blizzard. The story goes, there are 3 races, Terran (Humans), Zerg (Aliens, bug-like creatures), and Protoss (psionic alien/humans, kinda like predator, but more human like). The campaign mode sends you through the storyline of this game through the eyes of the 3 races and their leaders.

Gameplay is based on collecting two types of rescourses (minerals and gas) and then completing the objective(s). Some missions are set inside some military base with only a few units to use, out in space where ship travel is your primary means to get around, or the standard, on the ground, earth-like settings.

Most of the missions have some sort of twist, and many scripted scenes that keep you suprised and keep you going though the game. With one expansion pack, Brood War, the story keeps going on and you'll get a buncha new missions, units and tilesets for the staredit map editor.

Playing online, there are lots of different "minigames" that people have created over the years like "lurker, sunken, and turret defences", madness maps, and a whole bunch of other stuff.

            Best RTS of all time.
