Yeah I've read that before Vykro. And I do agree that Moore went a bit too far with the film. But it still doesn't matter if some of the scenes in the movie prevent it from being a true documentary, his point still stands. Of course most of corporate and political America isn't going to stand for a movie like this, because America is a largely right wing country and it certainly does not like looking bad. So it immediately retaliates, by claiming the movie is fiction and all that other bullshit. But who is to say that the retaliation against this movie isn't just political propaghanda? Because it damn well looks like it to me. Thats the problem I have with people, sometimes to tell the truth you can't be politically correct, and you may upset people. But the truth will always be better than more lies. The sad thing is.. there are so many morons in the world, sometimes they can't handle the truth.

Seriously, so what if Moore pieced together parts of Heston's speeches. HE STILL SAID THOSE WORDS. They may not have been in that order but he still said them.

I blame the 11 thousand annual gun deaths on mans innate sadistic nature. Nobody likes to admit it, but we all have this essential illness. In a society with proper law and order our true nature can be concealed quite well. But in many places in the US, the conditioning of society has worn off and people have become too desensitized. This just makes that trigger so much easier to pull.

I think that for sure, that bowling for columbine was a load of garbage. I also happen to believe very strongly in the right for Americans to own guns. I want to know, god forbid, should I be attacked by roving bears, or someone tries to break in my house, I have the ability to defend myself from harm, and I really don't like the equally distasteful scare tactics used by moore in that film. They're the same as those he talks so plainly about in his film (fear of the black man etc), when all he's trying to do is fuck with gun ownership. If he or you or anyone, were in favor of say background checks and waiting periods (which we have) or even tightening that up, it would be one thing. But people like him are why idiots can sue gun companies, because one of their loved ones happened to be shot by a criminal who was using one of their guns. The epitome of idiocy. You don't sue the Ford company when a drunk driver runs over your sister. In short, Michael Moore is an ass, and I hope his new film, though he means it with the intention of getting Bush out of office, a good thing, I just hope it doesn't completely screw the election up because so many people hate him.

And oh yeah, a special lesson for you, Bob (SRB). The danger of taking words out of context applied on a scale you can easily understand. Taken from my above writing, I will make the following sentence:

I want to fuck you in the ass, Bob (SRB).

I wrote each of those words seperately, and yet there they all are together. Understand the danger of taking words out of context to form a new sentence or impression now?

You stupid moron. Haven't you looked at some of the posts above? Many other countries in the world have people who can access guns just as easily as the states, the difference here is that people in the states are using guns to kill other humans much more than anyone else.

You know because bear attacks are a daily occurance and a real danger so everyone should be able to carry guns because of it. In fact we should never not be carrying guns, because bears are just as likely to attack in a place like a crowded shopping mall. I also suggest you keep a gun under your pillow because bears have a nasty tendency to make their way into your house and eat you while you sleep. Doesn't matter that there are about a thousand times less bear related deaths in the country than gun deaths. Oh and guns are so much more effective for intruders than alarm systems. I might feel a bit silly for blowing my relative's brains out because he snuck in the house, but thats not the point. The point is, guns are awesome and they kill stuff.

Maybe you should come move to Canada, I haven't talked to a single person here who dislikes Michael Moore. And if you actually did see the movie, he did not take individual words out of context, he moved full sentences around. For example, Heston still waved his hand in the air (what do you know, there was a gun in it) and yelled "out of my cold dead hands." Does it matter when he said this? HE STILL SAID IT. HE'S STILL A CRAZY GUN NUT. HED STILL SHOOT YOU IF YOU LOOKED AT HIM FUNNY (maybe not that).

The mention of bears is because human beings have a right to defend themselves from being killed in any manner. Whether it's from aliens, an invading enemy, a burglar, a bear, a shark, et cetera. That's a basic right of being a living sentient being. If something is trying to kill you, they've forfeited all rights regarding their own protection. Once they cross that line, then a person defending themself is completely right to take whatever necessary means to protect themselves.

You are coming down on me for what I can only suppose you to mean that I am a gun nut? I am not. I like to target shoot, I don't hunt, and if in defense of myself or someone else, I would like to think that if I had to, I would use deadly force. I've never been in that situation, so I don't know for sure. Did I suggest that everyone buy a gun and start killing everyone? No. Did I advocate the killing of anyone at all? No.

If you think I'm a douche, well, you're entitled to your opinion, but I did nothing to you to deserve it.
