That's right. You're a smart enough guy jerome, so I don't need to pick your post apart piece-by-piece ENFORCER style. Dumb post, as I said.

You SAID THOSE WORDS. I guess that backs my thesis!

I agree that Moore has some decent ideas, but the way he goes about them is unethical. I'm by no means a "right-wing conservative" or any of that other political jibber-jabber.

          I'm just better than you.

There was more to it than that.

They went to actor, Charlton Heston's, house. He had been going to the small towns that were ravaged by insane american youths which had shot many of their classmates shortly after the incidents each time and he was speaking to the town members about the NRA (National Rifle Association) and how it was every american's right to have a gun. What this old fart failes to realize, it seems, is that just because the government gives you a right, doesn't mean you need to exploit it and altogether promote it if it will make your country a worse place overall. The whole theme of that movie is that american's are afraid of their neighbour, and this old celebrity was only adding fuel to the fire and at the most insensitive times is when he made his biggest "pro-gun" speaches.

You really need to go read that link provided by Vykromond. The point is, that Heston's speeches were taken so out of context, and in fact, spliced together to provide the exact notion that you derived, when in fact, it was not true. The speeches were seperated by a number of years, and in fact Moore decided to just chop out the entire part of the ACTUAL speech where Heston expresses his grief and sorrow at the tragedy, and has in fact cancelled nearly every event of that meeting to express such.

Spliced or not, Heston is an idiot. I personally think Moore is an amazing Con artist, you gotta give him credit for that. Although he does make a point, and bring up an issue that people refuse to face. How the hell do you kill that many people?

It's ridiculas, its just as easy to get a gun in canada if you want one bad enough. Moore maybe a con, but hes a con bringing out the stupidity in America. I think Chris Rock has the best idea, make a single bullet 5k. Random kids would think twice before emptying their accounts over a kid at school.

Capital Knockers, how is Michael Moore a con artist? He isn't trying to sell you something or steal from you. He is trying to make a point.

Sarien, if Heston is so innocent, why was he still (no matter what grief he showed) encouraging everyone to own a gun and proudly saying about how many loaded guns he keeps in his house. And when question by Moore, he was beaten and had to waddle away and stop the interview.

Well the way he tries to make his point, in Bowling for Colombine, he seems like a con. Im not saying that in a bad way, it's just how I found it. Heston, Bush, the rest of them - all complete idiots. As I said, spliced or not Sarien, I hope Hestion trips while carrying one of his loaded guns and blows his head off. It may send a message to a few people out there.

Indeed, just a bit. I dont really wish the dude would die, but maybe, just maybe if he blew his hand off. Then a few people would go, WOW Heston had a gun accident. It may make a few more people realize, it could happen to anyone.

Like I said, I don't like seeing people injured. Moore does present a strong message in BFC, no matter how you view it. I just wish more people took what he is saying seriously, if not Moore himself.

Yes, the giant amounts of stores makes me want to buy a gun. Just this..overhwhelming..urge...

but you just said burglars enter our house.

Just remember, all you euros seem to love america when we step in to save yr asses. Perhaps you guys should invest in guns.
LOL !! That's the weakest reply ever i think ...

#1. Your dad isn't whole America. 80% of American adults have guns. Your dad is cop and has a gun at home. My dad is cop and doesn't have a gun at home. Difference.. ? We don't all shoot eachother for nothing.

#2. We don't take a shotgun out of our closet as soon as a burglar enters. You can call 911 ya know.. and you can put an alarm on your house.. anyway, we haven't ever get robbed.

#3. Little kids ? Those 8 yrs old shooting eachother on school are adults you mean ? I think it happened twice in a month or so. Some kid who starts shooting around with a mitrailleur. But ok, if you are 8 yrs old you might see him as an adult. The jackets reply isn't even worth responding on, as it's too weak.

#4. The shops: if there are alot of places where you can buy it, you can easily get it, and you'll get a gun sooner. That's as logical as 1+1 = 2. If you have to go really far or so to get a gun, you are too lazy and won't get one.

#5. The last reply is too weak to reply on aswell. It's the same as saying 1+2 = 5. Just not right, pulling arguements out of the context.

And now I gotta shut up or some American bitch will shoot me through my head, right ?
                          7:Barton> hi tats

While i was waiting to see the doctor this morning i picked up this daily magazine sitting on the table next to me because i noticed on the other side the guy was reading something with a michael moore picture on it and the headline said something like "moore was hiding something" (not that, but along those lines).

i picked it up and flipped to the page he was at and read the brief article. it said something like "i had pictures of prisoners being tortured in iraq but i didn't know whether or not to release them because it might be mis-interpreted as advertising for my new movie."

now, i still agree with michael moore on a lot/most of his issues, but this statement made me lose some respect for the man. he is sitting on facts like that and he doesn't say anything because of a movie coming out in a few months? that's just wrong. funny how he waits until now to say anything with his movie now almost out and someone else having leaked the story first.

as i said, i still agree with most of the real issues because i dont believe that one bad thing about a person should discredit them altogether. but it's definately a step in the wrong direction.

Con artist. He knows what he's doing, and he's going to wait and do it right if he has to. whatever makes the biggest impact. By right, I mean right by him.

this is ignorant. why do you bring the military into an issue about guns on the streets and in citizens homes. and you also act like america is some sort of superhero and they have the right to therefore do anything they want.

instead of looking at all the "rights" you've given yourselves, (which we in canada, and im fairly sure most european countries) have as well, about your "right" to own a gun... maybe you should look at the possibility of getting all the guns out of the general populations hands. it's amazing how americans think that MORE guns will make you safer. just think about that last sentence a bit.
