[Torn Wing]

I saw this movie earlier this evening, and Tom Hanks has once again put on an amazing performance.

I doubted how interesting the plot would be, seeing as it consisted of just an airport terminal, but infact it is probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. Tom Hanks makes you believe he is Victor, and the accent is almost perfect. The characters are every-day type people, and add more spice to the plot, but this movie is all Tom. I'm not giving any spoilers, because I want you to see this movie for yourselves.

I saw the movie on the weekend, I thought it was absolutely fabulous. It wasn't life changing or anything, or one of those movies that everyone talks about, but I had a really great time. It was funny (and it was great seeing it in a full theatre of people who were also into it), it was dramatic, and it was a fun time. It took me a bit to accept Tom Hanks talking in an accent, but once I did, it was fabulous.

This movie has been panned by 1/2 the critics and loved by the other half. Kind of strange so I guess you either love this movie or you hate it!

thats an odd reply considering your the one who said his accent was "almost" perfect.

if the place doesnt exist, you would have no idea as to how they "would" speak over there, thus the accent _IS_ perfect.

I think what he meant by accent is that the way Tom Hanks speaks in the movie is in no way reflective of himself- he plays the role of a Slavic man very well.

Yeah the movie was based off of something that actually happened like that. The dude got stuck at an airport for 15 something years (16 now? wow) because he couldnt enter the country, and he couldnt go back to his own. Thank god i have this green card and this chinese birth certificate.
