In ancient England a person could not have sex unless you had
consent of the King (unless you were in the Royal Family). When anyone
wanted to have a baby, they got consent of the King, the King gave them a placard that they hung on their door while they were having sex. The placard had FUCK (Fornication Under Consent of the King) written on it.

Firstly, the origins of the word "fornication" excludes acts between husband and wife; it was used only to describe sex acts between people who are not married. If the king really wanted to limit the number of babies being born, he would first limit it to married couples, and they wouldn't have been considered to be "fornicating".

Second, acronyms were uncommon up until the 20th century. In the time period where this origin story is supposed to take place, few people were literate enough for acronyms to even be considered.
