    Fahrenheit 9/11- Your thoughts/opinions?

    If you have seen the movie, what do you think about it? Your thoughts on the specific topics brought up in the movie?


    I usually take Micheal Moore info (Bowling for Columbine, Downsize This, now F. 9/11) with a grain of salt, but I must say he did a great job at making Bush look like a complete Jackass. Showing him sitting there for the first 12 minutes that he knew we were being attacked, and not doing anything on 9/11 was surprising, along with moving the Bin-Laden family members out of the country 2 days after the Two Towers went down. But enough of what I think, I'd really like to see your opinions on the movie and how well/bad you thought it was done.


    PS- From what I saw of it in the movie, Dragnet owns. :up:

    My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.

      I thought it was a lot better than Bowling For Columbine for sure, that movie made everyone that agreed with him before seeing the movie stand up and applaud, and everyone that disagreed just think "wow, Michael Moore" is a jackass. Since he cuts out a lot of the in=person ridiculous crusading, it makes the movie look a lot better, but I thought the huge focus on Bush's connection with the Saudis was a little over-emphasized, while really interesting statistics about other things (like Bush's attempt to lower combat soldier pay by 30%, benefits to families of victims by 60% and attempt to double medication costs for veterans). Also, he goes off on tangents and tries to get sentimental (the woman reading the letter from her son was just ludicrous, and I think he spent way too much time following her around overall). I've also yet to hear any Republicans address the flaws in the movie that I'm not able to see, so there might be more issues with it. Anyway, I enjoyed it, but I agreed with him from the beginning, so I'm not sure that counts. I think it's good enough to convince a lot of swing voters, but certainly too biased and pretentious to convert anyone that's dead-set on voting for Bush.

        I agree with many of his points (Saudi was really, really weak though), and am glad the movie exists, but was I the only person who thought it was dull as fucking Muzak in a dentist's office?

          I was alrgly unimpressed. Bowlign for columbine was better and more funt o watch.
