I think many people don't understand, but the majority of the people that practice islam don't believe in killing in the name of Allah. Many muslims feel that it's pure blasphemy to be killing in his name. That's what Islamic friends of mine told me at least.

Yup a few bad persons give a whole religious group a bad name, that's how it's always been. Many think in such narrow patterns
Osama kills a few americans = he is bad
Osama = muslim = all muslims are bad.
