Yeah stupid us for thinking that when a person posts in a thread he actually is posting about the topic and not just posting so that his post count is higher than everyone else.

Just wanted to say that this was a good read, interesting discussion. Took me about 20-25 minutes of my working time so thanks, people

PS. Good job to those that actually made some kind of effort in this discussion. If you have something smart to say, say it. Otherwise, stfu and let the people discuss. (Not that this was extremely smart either, just wanted to those that actually wrote something constructive)

Don't kid yourself people. There are plenty of ruthless dictators in the world. This war was over oil, not any humanitarian need to help the poor starving people of Iraq. I'm sure that the people of Afganistan would have been largely ignored as they are now, if Osama were not hiding there somewhere. The Taliban was one of the most oppresive dictatorships on the planet, but we ignored them, and even funded them. Why? We needed an oil pipeline from the Caspian Sea through their country. Speaking of Osama, isn't he the actual enemy? Did the US give up looking for him cuz it was just too hard. There was Sadam sitting in the open with all that lovely oil as a spoil of war. He had no WMD as France tried to tell the US and then recieved childish ridicule. "Freedom Fries?" What is that? 3rd grade? No wonder diplomacy didn't work against Iraq. What the US did was wrong on so many levels it hurts my head to think about it.

True, Sadam was an evil man. He kept his people poor, jailed and tortured his enemys, used his military against his enemies who could not defend themselves. The US is surely above all that. Its not like the US has massive amounts of poor and unemployed people lately...oops, my bad they do thanks to the Bush economy. Well at least they didnt unjustly jail and torture anyone deemed an enemy combatant without a trial.... oops thye did that too. Well, at least they never invaded a country with a pathetic army for bogus reasons... whoops, sorry Iraq, Panama, and Grenada. Hmm, I wonder who will act unilaterally and depose George Bush.
