A lot actually, where WC3 was a strategy game, WoW is a MMORPG.

W3 is a Real time strategy game, World of Warcraft is a persistent world based on the Warcraft series. You basicly take on a character/avatar within the world, gaining skills and abilities in physical fighting (swords ect..), magic or abilities in mining and other trades skills for gaining in game currency and goods.

Also Tribes 2 is still around and File planet is offering a download of the client and a free login. It's kinda old but very fun.

GTA III rocks the world but no multiplayer

I would reccomend counter strike, but you need the half life key

Half Life is very cheap to buy, but it's well worth it because you can play Counter Strike, Day of Defeat, TFC, etc. It's only around $15 American too.
