Mafia 2020 #3: 14 Stories Above the Sea

I just realized something after reading more about the weaponsmith role. We may see multiple kills tonight, if PartyFalcon was able to do their Night 1 action anyway. When was Kthx and PartyFalcon replaced in? Night phase, right? We didn't get a phase change until they were replaced in if my memory is correct, so it's probable PartyFalcon gave out a gun anyway. So read this:

Gunsmith / Weaponsmith - A Gunsmith / Weaponsmith is typically a Town-aligned role with the ability to create weapons (typically one-shot guns) at night and to give these weapons to other players. Obviously, the major issue for the Gunsmith / Weaponsmith is determining who is most likely to be Town and should be given a weapon. A Gunsmith / Weaponsmith accidentally giving a weapon to the Mafia would be very problematic and could end up causing multiple Town deaths in a single night (the Mafia's normal factional night kill, plus another Mafia member using the weapon to kill as well).

We'll see what happens, but we could be fucked for that, depending on what PartyFalcon did. They literally thought every possible pro-town person was scum, meaning it's entirely likely they gave a gun away to actual scum instead. This one player might've fucked the entire game up all by themselves. God forbid they had claimed cop before the lynch went through and i got killed instead. That pisses me off. What a jackass. Even when I roleplay my character's paranoid conspiracy theoriest stuff, I don't put in shitty hidden messages and pretend people should waste their time trying to decode them, only to find out the entire fucking thing was a lie to begin with. Fuck that guy.

Notably, Serial Killers and Doctors do not have guns.

Gunsmiths are usually, but not necessarily, pro-Town. They are considered somewhat weaker than standard Cops and are usually included in setups where they can get positive results on players who are not Mafia-aligned.

I used these because his role says weaponsmith, and the weaponsmith alternate name seems to be from these forums, not from mafiascum. These popped up first when googling 'mafia wiki weaponsmith' so that's what I used.

Yeah I was really confused by PF's roleclaim too because when I googled that's the result I got as well: He could hand out a gun each night.

The description I read, though, said that whoever gets a gun from the gunsmith can only use it during the day phase and it has a 50 percent chance of revealing them.

But he claimed to be a cop, even his secret messages had him acting as if he were a cop saying "no results yet" or whatever. I find it hard to believe Willby wasn't clear in his role description and I also find it hard to believe that PF, on his deathbed, would lie about his role considering it was about to become public knowledge.

I didn't put any thought into it more than that because it really doesn't make any difference now that he's dead, except there may be someone out there holding onto a gun.



And Kassius, my dude, I appreciate you roleclaiming and telling everyone what information you've gathered. But in the future, save it for the day phase please. Way less likely to get you whacked immediately that way.

I guess what we can say with absolute certainty here is that we have no idea what Partyfalcons role entailed. Could be one of a few things. Either way, I guess we will find out tonight. Shouldn't be more than one kill now with Dressup dead unless there is a JOAT, or as you guys said, if PF gave someone a gun somehow.

This game has been a clusterfuck, this might be the perfect first game honestly. Vehicle is right though, generally better to do something like this first thing in the day phase. All good though, only 1 way to learn
