Someone has to be president though, right? So basically we'd out the president too. Maybe the CP has dayvig or something with their shot?

From the links ixt gave us, it seems like the contingency planner us basically a mafia with 1 dayvig shot. The role on the website says that the contingency planner only gets a dayvig power if they dont kill anyone the night before (I am unclear if ixt is using this rule).
The president is essentially an innocent-princess or w/e the instant loss is.
From the sound of things we need to launch into night phase to really get started.

If everyone answers, there will be one role where two people claim it. One of those two is the Contingency Planner - so we take our best pick, and if we are wrong, lynch the next one D2. Game over.

If people don't answer, then that means they are the Contingency Planner or dumb as hell. Lynch and win. Game over.

I just want to make sure I understand the rules: The good guys all know who the President is and there's one bad guy who only has a 1-shot ability where he has to take out the President? (Or I guess it's more likely that he only has 1 killshot but has other abilities?) And then we never vote to lynch anyone, right? We're just waiting for the traitor to shoot his shot, even if we know who it is?

The first part is correct, you can still lynch to force pressure on the CP if the suspect is correct
