Angry with the death of one of their own, the neighborhood descended on Maria at the front gate. After all, it makes sense, right? No one in our own community could be responsible for such a brutal scene, right? It was her job to keep our community secure, right? She wouldn't have lied about her priorities, right?

But Maria wasn't there. The rent-a-cop's car (she always called it "her security sedan") was gone; her little gate/toll booth was empty, except for an opioid prescription that was NOT made out to her, various lengths of dildos, and the central camera feed for the neighborhood. At last, we can find out who did this.

Rita (careful to not touch anything else) turned on the tv, and saw a different kind of savage pounding than the one that Arthur received last night. Deb quickly turned it off, and they all slowly turned to me.

Their blank stares were met with an even blanker stare from me. Finally Lumen broke the silence, "Jonah, is there any way to recover the footage?"

I quickly ejected the VCR (yes, VCR), but alas, it was just the porn.

She'd neglected her security duties, and got off instead.

Beast aka Maria the Gatekeeper skipped town. She was a 1-shot cop.

Willby always does a 1st person point of view in these right ups with one character so just wondering in this has any hints. Jonah seems scum and it appears the 1st person point of view is from a scummer in the write ups..

These wannabe cops are all the same- they think a headlamp, some walkie-talkies, and free-flowing testosterone will keep the neighborhood safe. That's not safety, in the same way that insisting all houses are painted earthen tones isn't nature. they could use some red.

Illwei aka Arthur, neighborhood watch is dead. He was found in the middle of the street, head caved in with a brick that was carefully placed into his left hand. His blood had set, a dried stream that once flowing into the gutter and down the storm drain. He was a 1-shot watcher.

I'll never be able to wash this off my shoes. Too bad, this was my favorite pair.

Just observing this and wondering to put it out there. Not sure unless we have someone with a name reveal power.

Don't we need a little more than what LF has given? What power was it? How does he know MArk is scum. Why the secrecy? Seems some shadies are jumping in on this train to me so a little nervous and think this is wrong play at this time. Our 1 shot cop is dead.. I seriously doubt it is an investigative role LF has.

Well that pretty squarely puts me in the town column so I guess a little bit of good can be taken from his death. Given that I'm definitely the strongest confirmed townie atm, I'm probably not going to survive the night so I'll definitely be using my night action tonight. I'm need to narrow down my scum list from Exalt/Mark/Jessup. I'm strongly leaning towards Mark

As for the elaboration on my vote, I was using it as my antenna to feel people out. Truth is I am as vanilla as it gets and I was trying to divert the mafias attention to me last night to save squirtles stupid ass for roleclaiming AT NIGHT for absolutely no reason. That's why I made a spectacle out of using my (non-existent) night action. Rather mafia kill me (a vanilla) than whatever the HOA vice president was, which turned out to be a doctor. I guess squirtle was trying a similar strategy in luring mafia to his doorstep only to self heal and buy us another night? Can Doctors self heal in TWs version of mafia?

The only resource I have to form my opinions is what everybody else says. So fuck me silly if I end up getting tricked, wouldn't be the first time, but I think Vehicle articulated it well. So from my perspective my team is Me, Vehicle, Jessup

That leaves Exalt, Mark, Paul, Orange.

Exalt I'm on the fence about, I do believe he tracked me but given the timing of his claim all he really did was confirm what an already confirmed townie said. He didn't vote on Voth D1 but he really didn't say anything at all on D1 other than some wild baseless claims which lead to his "tracking" of me.

Paul was really quick to jump on my wagon for Mark, which has me second guessing my vote on mark. Day 1 votes are always a crap shoot but we got lucky this time. Paul did not contribute to that luck. To be fair, neither did I because I hate D1 lynching. But nonetheless, Paul had an opportunity and didn't seize it.

Was Orange the one doing exams? Or was that squirtle? Either way Both Orange and Mark have done absolutely nothing to convince me that they even MIGHT be town. I accept that Exalt and Paul might be deceiving me, thats the game. But they still have a moderately convincing claim of MAYBE being on my side. Orange and Mark have no such claim, and neither one contributed to the lynching of the only scum we've found so far.

For the above reasons plus more, my vote remains on Mark.

When Beast died he was for all intents and purposes a vanilla townie. Exalt and OB5 with their pearl-clutching "but but but you killed the cop" bullshit is, well, bullshit.

We have a handful of new players this round and I'm starting to think Exalt is taking advantage of it. Keep in mind the only thing Exalt has done aside from not voting for beast is "confirm" beast's investigation. Exalt is as-much confirmed town as I am, which is to say not at all.

@LF it'd be nice if you could come and let us know if your vote has any merit.

I agree with a lot of what you said here, but the bolded part I have to address. Since 2014 when I moved to a desk job, I have played almost exclusively at work. Not to say I don't check in and occasionally post from my phone on weekends or whatever, but forums on mobile is a nightmare and formatting is a bitch. I'm not saying you shouldn't suspect me for the above reason, but this has been the way I play for 7ish years.

Multiquoting still sucks, so to address Vehicle's other point, no I did not vote Voth day 1. I always use day 1 votes to try to force activity unless someone like Xog is in the game or something. Beast and Exalt hadn't posted, so I voted for Beast. Day 1 votes are a shot in the dark, I was both shocked and thrilled that A) Voth got lynched day 1, and B) that Voth flipped scum. I would guess we have some inexperienced/new players on the scum team to allow this to happen. Unfortunately, given the shitshow TW forums mafia has been the last couple years, lynching scum day 1 doesn't immediately clear anyone's name anymore. Don't get me wrong, it moves you 3 way down towards the bottom of the list of suspects, but mafia here has turned into a standoff of which scum member can bus a teammate fastest. I created this monster accidentally when I lynched my roleblocked day 1 (sorry sdrawkcab, still feel bad about it), and unfortunately it has carried over into both of the last 2 games.

As for what Exalt said, saying that Beast was obviously town is nothing more than revisionist history. Beast outright claimed, then botched what role he was claiming, and then refused to elaborate and clear things up. Without any other information to go on, it seemed like Beast got caught in a fake claim and straight up panicked. It sucks it turned out the way that it did, but to act like it was a lynch on a whim with no backing is just not how it actually went down.

LF hinted at using his ability last night, and then immediately came out and voted Mark. My vote is under the assumption that his ability gave him some intel. But since that's an assumption, that's why I said my vote was tentative until/unless we get some different information or an elaboration from LF

The chances are really slim this guy matched beasts cop investigation on LF N1 focusing a tracker 1 shot on him. Both these guys chose LF and revealed together with zero communication? We are talking extremely low probabilities this could have happened. Not to mention how convenient it was to pop in second after beast claimed. MAfia knows who is not mafia and it is so easy to claim "ye I have proof beast is telling the truth and I tracked him too!!" It is such a scum move and tries to latch onto beasts claim to shield him from suspicion but the facts are the chances of both of them focusing on LF the same night are minuscule. Not to mention the weird train he started with orange on me.. ye beast voting for me I get but those two??

Low probability? I literally claimed the night before that LF was my top scum suspect. There are only 10 people in the game, me being one of them and voth being dead, so even if you discounted the previous context, that's a 1 in 8 chance. That's not extremely low probability. Just saying.

Also, you voted for Beast who was obviously fucking town, and now you are voting for me too. I'm guessing if I die, you'll vote for LF next, because of course you would.
