I have it too, but I wear corrective contacts.

Ever notice how your natural eyesight is looking even worse after removing your glasses/contacts at the end of the day after six months? Six years? Perhaps it's just damage from the contacts. Either way, there is definately some reason why my eye doctor told me not to wear my lenses unless it's absolutely necessary. Your eyes gradually and perpetually adjust to your lenses, inadvertently altering the naturally occuring relaxed focus of your eyes until eventually you're doomed to get lost in the never-ending cycle of confusing and manipulating your natural eyesight to the point of being terribly dependant on your lenses. This is why I'm just saying,- if you can get by some of the time without your perscription, you might want to consider doing so.
it's only a temperory effect of wearing corrective lenses.
pick up a heavy box 40 times then go pick up an empty box the same size. Your brain will tell you iits really heavy even though it's light. Same thing with your eyes. After a short time your eyesite will be bad as ever. The only "permament" correction is surgery. Wearing glasses won't keep your eyes from getting worse and it won't make your eyes worse. Otherwise, my prescription shold change all the time, yet i haven't had worse eyesight in over 10 years of wearing contacts everyday.

pv laser surgery is far from permanent. I asked a doc who makes em and he said I'd need glasses in two-three years after the surgery.

Just think... your eyesight would be soo much worse now if eight years ago you had decided to wear your lenses fifteen hours each day!!!! I only wish I had known about this ten years ago (to not wear glasses unless it was absolutely necessary) because these days, without my lenses I am rendered absolutely incapable of doing anything except to sleep. It is not an option for me to not have my glasses on the nightstand. Some people will say the decline in my eyesight is due to the natural evolution of things,.. but I can say for sure that if I had been smart and listened to my doctor and not wore my glasses all the time,... my eyesight would be nowhere near as bad as it is now. Moral of this story: If you can safely function without your lenses, DO IT OR ELSE. Otherwise, welcome to the soon-to-be-blind club.
