I prefer piano/keyboard, with my KORG Triton LE, I can sound up more guitars then you would ever imagine. but I'm happy for you, getting a instrument is really something.

I really love my KORG. I was going to by KORG triton extreme, but I don't have the money for that. Even if I would sell my triton LE. Or I do have the money, but I know I will be needing them after a year when I'm going to study.

I would too start of with a acoustic, tho a half-acoustic, depends. I accually started some year ago playing, but I didn't have the inspiration to play guitar since I already play piano pretty good (more then 10 years behind).

Thats just stupid saying that drums is harder to play then guitar. If you say so then you don't know what music is. Drums are quite nice a nice instrument, I've been playing with a djebe, though its not like drums, but it is a drum. Every instrument has its climax, and "hard to play" parts. I wouldn't say that guitar is harder to play then drums or vice versa. IMO, playing piano is harder then drums, care to argue? jk.
