no, it's hard to find where your going. Some of the levels are insanly dark (and they give you no flashlight, brilliance) and most of the indorsies (my word of the day) are just the same background over and over again. I like dual wielding but don't like the fact i gotta throw one down to change weapons (what, i can't holset two small guns but i can holster a rocket launcher, yeah ok) and the lack of ammo for the smg's is really annoying.

My biggest Plus so far -- The marines are compotent, they don't stand near gernades or shoot be in the face anymore. They also tend to not drop dead if i leave them for 15 seconds, wooh.

Thats your cuz your not really trying, also there IS a flash light, the white button (DOH). Shows how much you know about the game to critisize it :P , plain targeting as I see it.

Anyway, panda, the duel analog stick setup is probally the most fluid set up ever. Your boyfriend probally reversed the up down configuration, usually the default profile is inversed.

Bleh I don't like the two view button things. I like games that auto center, like GTA. I'm so horrible at shooting games anyway; my hand eye coordination is very low. That's why I only like video games that don't require shooting (like GTA - I just get cool cars and drive around :P ).

I hate the dual fucking joysticks. Microsoft of all people should know to have a Keyboard and Mouse port in their system.

I'll get Halo 2 for the PC .. I don't have to pay a monthly fee to play that online either (fuck Xbox live)

Halo 2 isn't coming for the PC, they relized mouse and keyboard differs the gaming experience so bungie is keeping it exclusive for the Xbox. Halo came out for the pc mostly due to the lack of multiplayer (LIVE). Which is friggin asome if I might add.

Nick you forget, you can only have 2 guns equipped on you (as in two guns you can switch between), if you could holster the guns you are duel weilding and switch to your other gun, that would be 3 guns. The point is to only be able to use 2 guns at any one time. Duel weild sacrifices variety, while single weild but having two guns sacrifices the amount of fire power you have at a single moment. It's called balance and trade off. And by having insanely dark with no flashlight adds enviornment and mood, suspense and anticipation. And there's always charging up your nice little plasma pistol for a blob of light. It's a video game, not everything has to be real and perfect. Though I do prefer the Assault Rifle (Halo) over the SMG, far more ammo, no recoil.

I do have one complaint, and maybe someone has a solution. I coudln't figure out any way to split the screen horozontal instead of vertical, does anyone know if there's a way to do that?

yea it can be controled, I think it has somthing to do with wide screen.

I'm with arc.. horizontal would be better for any level unless it was one where you had to look up and down a lot. with the vertical split, I feel like i'm walking around with blinders on. I was playing at my friends house though, if I brought it to my house I could try the widescreen version and maybe it would be better.

Now I'm wondering how 3-player would work on a wide-screen... when we tried it at my friends house, one player had a tall skinny screen while the other two had small boxes.. maybe with widescreen it would split it 3 across? that might be sweet.
